It wasn't funny if this was meant as a joke, especially now that Los Angeles County is likely experiencing the costliest wildfire in American history. During a commercial break for the show ‘9-1-1’ on Fox, LAFD Assistant Chief Kristine Larson did a media spot to increase diversity in emergency services. The LAFD has been criticized for spending an inordinate amount of time on DEI initiatives and less on vital aspects of training, like stopping wildfires.

Los Angeles Fire Department Assistant Chief Kristine Larson says when people's houses are burning down, they want a firefighter to show up who looks like them.

When responding to questions about whether women firefighters could physically do the job, like when she hears someone say, ‘you couldn’t carry my husband out of a fire,’ Larson said her response is “He got himself in the wrong place if I have to carry him out of a fire."

It is spread across the entire state, at this point. With California in debt to the tune of over $600 billion, and the city and county also mired in debt adding to the mess, the Democrats have been praying the federal government would bail them out. I pray that does NOT happen, and with President Trump, these next four years will see California's severe problems grow more severe.

Actually, anybody that has to be rescued by a woman that can't do the job, has a woman rescuer in the wrong job.

Fire departments and police departments are now following the Hollywood scripts where women are the equal of men and can fight just as well as men and do the physical jobs just as well as men. But it's not happening just around Hollywood; it's happening all around America. And that idea has infected the military too. How many women can carry a 200 pound injured man out of the battlefield?

Equality cannot be proven in sports, where women cannot compete among men in sports such as football and baseball and hockey and soccer and volleyball and basketball and boxing and wrestling. If women are not the equal to men in sports, then, they're not the equal in firefighting and police work and in the military. Only in the imagination of Hollywood is that true.

Hard to believe the fire chief has never been a fireman.

As they evaluate candidates for such a management position, you might think some significant fire experience would be a key qualification. And you might think if someone has never been a fireman, such a person would be eliminated.

Who knows how they really recruit.
