The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reported that an aircraft was damaged by a drone Thursday while fighting the deadly Palisades fire in Los Angeles.
“Fire officials informed the FAA that a firefighting aircraft struck a drone while it was operating over the Palisades Fire in Los Angeles on Thursday, Jan. 9,” the agency issued in a statement.
“The aircraft landed safely. The FAA will investigate,” the agency added.
Officials have implemented several Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) in the area and have warned citizens of the danger aircrafts can pose while circulating wildfires.
The FAA said unauthorized air activity during the wildfire emergency will warrant criminal charges that can result in up to 12 months in prison

Was wondering about from a video next to a helicopter which had to be from another helecopter or a drone.
Wanna bet the drone was owned and/or operated by the public sector...

Ask the LAFD to confirm or deny then work down the rest of the list of public sector operators...
Antifa has declared war.
Agreed. And the ‘leaders’ are clueless. Just watched a press conf. wherein a FD chief of some kind stated “If you fly a drone in these areas, it will stop us from using firefighting aircraft.” WHAT???! How about: “If you fly a drone in these areas, our technology will identify you. We will then hunt you down, arrest you, and put you in prison for a very, very long time.”
Probably just a privateer, trying to get footage to sell to the local news channel, or the onofficial local news channel’s drone.
“Wanna bet the drone was owned and/or operated by the public sector...”
Wanna bet it had an Afghanistan property sticker on it?
