BREAKING NEWS Los Angeles arsonist is arrested for 'purposely starting Kenneth Fire'
Daily Mail UK ^ | January 9, 2025 | Brittany Chain

An apocalyptic, fast moving fire that sparked mass evacuations in Calabasas and the Hidden Hills is being investigated as an arson incident, with one suspect arrested.

The Kenneth Fire is tearing through the West Hills at a rapid rate, with 900 exhausted first responders pulled from other high priority infernos in southern California to protect homes and try to contain the flames.

Now, LAPD senior lead officer Charles Dinsel has told NewsNation a suspect is in custody, who is believed to have intentionally caused the out-of-control blaze.

'About 20-30 minutes later a suspect was detained over in Woodland Hills area by citizens,' he said. 'It is being investigated as a crime.'

Dinsel was asked directly if he believed the fire was set intentionally, and he said: 'At this time, that's what we believe. Yes.'

Sources told DailyMail.com that a resident called 911 to report a male attempting to set a fire at the 21700 block of Ybarra road at around 4.30pm.

The suspect was arrested and taken to Topanga station.

Dinsel said there was no clear motive, adding that the area is now being 'closed off' for further investigations and is being treated as a crime scene.

As three intense fires - Palisades, Kenneth, and Eaton - burn out of control, authorities are slowly starting to unearth the widespread devastation, with the death toll rising to seven and reports that at least 10,000 structures have been wiped out.

'We cannot confirm any connection to any fire at this time,' LAPD Drake Madison said.

The arrest confirms Hollywood A-listers' worst fears that their homes are being targeted.

Happy Days star Henry Winkler, 79, wrote on social media: 'THERE IS an ARSONIST here in LA . May you be beaten you unrecognizable !!! The pain you have caused !!!'

I wrote this elsewhere…Lets’s see….who would benefit the most from LA being in Flames?

Well, the Mayor looks like she’s a political goner.

Newsom also looks like he’s taken on a lot of shrapnel.

Therefore…who would stand to benefit the most from setting fires in LA?

Will Fonzie learn, though?

All of this pain is for naught if lessons are not made actionable.

I was wondering who would benefit from this.

So how would she benefit?

Set fires sounds like an attack on a major US city. Where is the fed response as in army.

Why would Harris benefit?

This fire is making DEI Leftist Democrats look bad. Which is what Harris is.

When people look at Harris, they'll see Bass.

What better time is there for the incoming Border Czar Tom Homan to tell the illegal aliens that the government will rigorously enforce 18 USC 1324.

TITLE 8 > CHAPTER 12 > SUBCHAPTER II > Part VIII > § 1324: (Bringing in and harboring certain aliens)

(A) Any person who—

(iii) knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, conceals, harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place, including any building or any means of transportation;

(B) A person who violates subparagraph (A) shall, for each alien in respect to whom such a violation occurs—

(iv) in the case of a violation of subparagraph (A)(i), (ii), (iii), (iv), or (v) resulting in the death of any person, be punished by death or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, fined under title 18, or both.

Not only can the illegal alien face the death penalty, anybody who "harbors" or creates a "sanctuary" for an illegal alien who then kills someone, the person who harbors the illegal alien can also face the death penalty.

Start arresting people who are protecting illegal aliens who then set fires to loot evacuated homes that result in the death of citizens.

If an entire family is here illegally, they would each fall under 18 USC 1324 as harboring the others. If one of the family members kills someone, the rest of the members of the family who harbored the killer are subject to the death penalty, too.

I would tell these illegal alien families, do you want to take that risk? Do you trust your children to stay away from criminal behavior? Mothers, do you trust your husband to not commit a crime that leads to the death of someone?

If the answer is no, then leave now before something terrible happens to all of you.

-PJ

Where is the fed response as in army.

The fed has sent in firefighters from the U.S. Forest Service. So that helps.

Army grunts are unqualified to seek out terrorists. To seek terrorists, you need the CIA, FBI, ICE. In a sane society, those agencies would be filled with competent, reliable people.

A poll co-sponsored by the left-leaning Los Angeles Times props up failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris as a front-runner for the 2026 California gubernatorial race.

Newsom is term-limited so he can’t run. But he looks stupid, so his endorsement impact would be diminished.

The LA Mayor is toast.

Harris can waltz into Newsom’s current home.

Wasn’t it part of the game plan of some terrorist groups to start fires all over L.A.? I recall reading something about that a few years ago.

I’ve always thought that terrorists could time coordinate hundreds of fires at the same time throughout the western US.
