Wildfires raging across parts of Los Angeles have destroyed several celebrities’ homes, including actors Mandy Moore and Billy Crystal.
More than 1,000 structures have burned from the Palisades fire, leveling entire neighborhoods due to the uncontained flames fueled by hurricane-force winds.
Anywhere from 200 and 500 structures have been damaged or destroyed from the Eaton fire on the other side of town.
A new blaze, dubbed the Sunset fire, broke out in the Hollywood Hills late Wednesday.
At least five deaths have been confirmed from the fires. Mandatory evacuations have been underway for thousands of residents and many more are warned they should be prepared to leave their homes.
In a statement released Wednesday, reported by The Associated Press, Crystal and his wife, Janice, said their home of 45 years in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood was lost.

Not good for anyone. Sad.
Again, my sympathy is tied to their voting and activism record.
Hopefully they didn’t move from Lahaina, Maui to Hollywood Hills.
No
They’ll still vote for the likes of Karen Bass, Gavin Newsom and Kamala Harris when she runs for governor of the state.
It is sad, you can bet these people will not blame the rats for the lack of prep and lousy response.

Most of the LA area’s liberal elites who lost homes will still donate money to Newsome’s presidential run. This epic disaster and leadership failure won’t change their activism on bit.
As is so often the case, so much evidence to destroy and so few good ways to do it.
These days its not just a stain here or there, how to get rid of all the micro evidence?
Oh, those Unintended Consequences of voting for Democrats.
I had a Texas lady really call me a lot of names a few years ago because I pointed out that her Democrat mayor spent all his time yammering about national issues instead of working to fix the local flooding problems.
Stay in your lane.
Fix the problems you are supposed to fix.
There was a contractor who called into Coast to Coast last nite and he was talking about building houses for the elites. When the contractor puts in the foundation, the elite put all their valuables, ie art collections, coin collections, etc etc. they put them in the "basement" with tempered glass over and around the foundation. Some do this before they install a swimming pool. Yeah, they may lose some furniture, their bazillion $ homes, etc but the important stuff is safe and they won't have to worry about money to rebuild, most of them have more than one home here and there and on some island somewhere or even over in Europe. The elite will be fine, it's the average person who is going to suffer.
Wow

Who is Mandy Moore?
How long will it take for these “celebrities” to rally and make a movie about this inferno? Hey they at their core are neo pagan, hedonistic, decadent Democrats. Never let a crisis go to waste especially if there is money to be made.
At least the delta smelt is safe. Thank God.
You misspelled Newscum’s name ;)
Many have been fighting for years to get permits to tear down their historic old home in the canyons or on the beach and build the decadent mansions they lust for on their multi million dollar pieces of prime LA property.
Now they finally have their opportunity
.
In fact, the fire saves them the price of a demo permit and the astronomical costs to tear down and dispose of a toxic waste filled non complaint California legacy home.
The new status symbol in LA is going to be how fast you can push that lavish mansion you have always wanted through planning and zoning to pull a build permit.
