Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, who is under fire for being in Africa as her city erupted in flames this week, last month boasted she was “building a greener L.A.”

“We’re building a greener L.A.,” she posted on Facebook, along with a post on X that said:

The goal was more than 100,000 green jobs in L.A. by the end of 2025.

We hit the goal by the end of 2024.

We’re building a greener L.A.

I think she meant greener as in her bank account. Off the backs of the tax payers.

Now that la is leveled, it will be much easier to build back green.

In point of fact, California is a desert or semi desert and is in fact brown, not inherently green.

A synonym for brown is combustible. California is visibly brown and is a fire just waiting to happen. While the Black mayor may have marginally contributed, the fact a city was built in a waterless desert is the insurmountable problem.

The wonder is, why isn’t more burning?

Zorro? Where is he when he is so urgently needed?

Well, it’s not exactly a ‘Greener’ LA, but more kind of blackened…

Not close enough… (Wrong color.)

She’s what you get when you hire job applicants who were permitted to leap frog all the benchmarks OTHER applicants must reach in order to be considered.

I have worked with these kinds of ‘hires’... they are incredibly incompetent, arrogant and take offense needlessly, immediately and often

Believe me, they are fully aware just how inadequate they are

"A December 2024 press release from her office touted initiatives such as breaking ground on a “new, resilient and sustainable drought-proof supply of water for more than 25,000 Angelenos,” among other initiatives"

The population of L.A. is 3.8 million. When this simpleton thinks big.......

I recently listened to an interesting take on luxury beliefs. The idea of luxury goods, like designer handbags is to differentiate yourself from the common folks. I’m better than you because I drive a Lexus and own Gouchie handbags. But this idea of luxury differentiating you from the common folk has extended into luxury beliefs. I’m woke, therefore I’m better. I support Palestine, therefore I’m better. The author’s take was that one reason for Trump’s victory is that times had gotten so tough that people were not only giving up luxury goods, but luxury beliefs. They’re not so supportive of “climate change,” for example, when they see what they personally are paying and how it’s impacting their lifestyle. I think this fire, government driving out insurance companies and similar events will affect the luxury beliefs of Californians. All that stuff is fine when we’re forcing the little people to deal with it, but when it’s affecting me and my thirty-million-dollar mansion, something MUST be done!

I wonder how all those electric power tools foisted on the fire department worked out.

It will be greener. Grass grows well after a fire. And all those houses will be out of the way.
