CNN releases new camera angle of the Trump hotel truck explosion.
Investigators say Matt Livelsberger was found with two firearms, a handgun and a rifle. The weapons were purchased legally on Monday. (ABC News)
Livelsberger allegedly shot himself in the head. A .50-caliber Desert Eagle was found at his feet.
Investigators say he took his life sometime in the 17 seconds between when he arrived at the hotel and when the truck exploded.
ABC News also reports that Livelsberger had been “receiving mental health assistance over the last year.”
A .50 cal Desert Eagle would definitely get the job done.

From what everybody is saying, it would have left splatter all over the windows and nothing left of his head. None of that shows up on this video before the explosion. Nearly all the comments are saying this makes it very clear that he did NOT shoot himself before the explosion.

No way he shot himself with a .50 cal. His head looks quite intact. Hubby had a .50 cal and they inflict a LOT of damage to whatever they hit.
And no matter how stout that truck is, people would have heard the shot. A distinctive LOUD boom. Hubby had several guns but I always knew when he fired the Barrett.
I looked at the freeze frame, his head looks intact for someone that put a .50 into it before the fire started. I would think the handgun would be powerful enough to create an exit wound. First frame with the fire and his head is well enough illuminated to show no exit wound on the left side. It does look like the fire started in the right floorboard.
I wonder what his plans were for the rifle?
.50 AE is a formidable cartridge... One I’ve had the delight to shoot a few times. But it’s still just a pistol carteidge..
.50 BMG as in your husbands Barrett is a completely different creature. Same diameter, but different projectiles and vastly different powder loads.

So the fire was hot enough to burn through the back wall of the truck and roast him almost beyond recognition, but not hot enough to cook off the ammunition in the magazine and destroy the firearm?
Either firearm as an AR-15 was also in the truck.

The TESLA pickup truck exploded approximately 15 - 17 seconds after halting next to the curb in front of the hotel entrance doors.
The explosion initated within the cabin, NOT at the pickup truck's bed.
A man standing by the curb, outside the hotel entrance, and about 20 feet from the TESLA pickup truck, had only minor injuries as a result of the TESLA pickup truck explosion.
Also notice what appears to look like 2 individuals in the reflection from the driver's window close to the side mirror.
