Ukraine’s borders after peace negotiations will look very similar to what could have been achieved prior to Russia’s invasion.

But had the West negotiated peace, then we would not have spent hundreds of billions that enriched politicians and connected people...nor would we have destroyed the infrastructure of Ukraine that now requires lucrative contracts to rebuild....nor would we have hundreds of thousands of dead men and women increasing the need for migrants to take their place.

Ukraine was never a threat militarily and was not going to be a member of NATO any time soon, if ever. Zelensky offered neutrality and no NATO but Russia refused. This has never been about NATO expansion or threat to Russia. Rather, Putin wanted to put the old band together, bringing Ukraine back under Russian rule. He has said as much himself. Take him at his word.

1. Z-patriots

So, while Russia's "Z" is the source for words like Ruzzia and RuZZia, nevertheless, Russians themselves revere their "Z".

When reading these threads I'm always reminded about a Russian joke.

If a law was passed to make rectal examinations mandatory on Saturdays;

France would immediately have a revolution.
The United Kingdom would, in a week, have a new Parliament.

The Russians would begin queueing Friday night to get a start on the weekend.
