Elon Musk Wades Into German Politics, Speaks Up For Sovereigntist AfD Party Ahead of Snap Election
Breitbart ^ | 12/30/2024 | Oliver JJ Lane

South African-American billionaire Elon Musk promoted the Alternative fur Deutschland (AfD) in unambiguous terms in a newspaper column, prompting the publication’s opinions editor to resign in protest.

Germany has been failed by its legacy parties and is teetering on the brink of collapse, Elon Musk wrote in an op-ed for the Sunday edition of the national newspaper of record Die Welt. His diagnoses of Germany’s problems came with a suggested solution, voting for the right-sovereigntist AfD.

The legacy media and prevailing political opinion in mainstream Germany considers the AfD extreme if not outright dangerous. Moves to ban the party are attempted and elements of the force have been investigated by Germany’s political police. Yet Musk in his interjection called on German voters to judge the party on its policies.

Is there any first world or hot war country Elon is NOT involved with trying to influence?

what every got worked-up about was Musk only responding to other X posters.

He has come out in clearly favor of immigration for “best and brightest” to promote US innovation, but he never put clear numbers or figures behind it. He also said clearly he thinks H-1B system is corrupt and needs reform.

At this point, H-1B is definitely worth talking about - but don’t direct hate towards Musk.

It was Ramaswamy who DID directly say that there’s a problem with American Culture - so if anyone wants to be angry, start there.

Elon is a fighter and he is on the side of freedom and pretty anti-government. I like him a lot more than any sitting republican or democrat in Congress.

Elon Musk.....Elon baby...Germany has been failed by its legacy parties and is teetering on the brink of collapse,

Because of fake climate change (shutting down coal, oil and gas power stations) excessive wokedness and unfettered immigration from turd word countries.

At least they don't have H1B program assist.

He is trying to play King Maker.

He is too much of a hot head to understand that indicating American right are racist and retarded was bound to set off a fire storm.

He will blow up again over something.

Here it comes....’Elon is a Nazi!! BAN the AfD!!!”

Remember...lots of ‘divide and conquer’ going on, the only thing the left has remaining right now.

Only after the backlash. Go try to find a post where he states this pre Austic Meltdown. People have been looking and can’t find any.

I believe prior to meltdown he said H1b should double. I think he deleted that post but not sure.
Also, that anyone who works hard and is honest should be let into America. There was none of that .01 percent stuff.

Trump may not have won the election without Elon’s purchase of Twitter and allowing free speech on a major Internet social media. I don’t recall anything that Ramaswami has done to equal that or at all, except talk. I wish them both well with DOGE but they should stay in their lane.

The knives came out because most folks can't see -- or think -- past their own noses. Sorry, but Elon has built some of the most successful tech companies that have ever existed, and on top of that he catches rockets out of the air. He's warned, multiple times, about the dangers -- true dangers -- of AI. I think I trust his opinions, even when expressed poorly or insultingly, over a bunch of FReepers.

We are at a true turning point in history -- a dangerous point -- and the US has to lead AND CONTROL the tech revolution, especially AI. One way to lead is to rob the other "teams" of their talent. If another country controls the AI revolution -- especially China or Russia -- it's game over, period. AI will dominate everything, and sooner than most think IMHO.

If you want a comparison from history, look at the rocket and nuclear programs after WWII. We brought a lot of foreign scientists here because it was THAT important that we establish dominance and control those emerging technologies before anyone else. Imagine the world today if we hadn't brought in those "tech" immigrants, and their talent had been used elsewhere.

I still like Musk too but he is a mixed bag. I can’t believe some censorious Freepers are telling us to shut up when we fight the powers-that-be for laws and outcomes that benefit all Americans.

Foreigners, communists and GOPe snakes be damned.

I don't know which Padmanabhan this is for sure yet but I believe it to be the one that heads the Talent Supply Chain and has been working there since 1999. He is going to know more about how the Cognizant scam works than Musk but if Intel knows there are huge problems then so should Musk

How do you justify replacing American workers with Indian Workers who are not more skilled. Disney did it to 250 IT people . I believe Cognizant was involved with that.

Vivek is also on the side of Indian H1B visas and chain immigration.

He believes in a caste system, which is why IMO he sees American workers as inferior. They’re bottom tier.

Are there any high ranking non-Indian executives in his pharmaceutical business? Inquiring minds want to know.

Afd IS a neo-Nazi organization, supported by Russia among others.

Birds of a feather....

I suggest you learn details from other sources. It is not at all. It is surging in popularity because people are getting tired of the immigration problems. That doesn’t make it ‘neo-Nazi’.

Henry Ford was one of the technology giants of America, but he also developed a taste for Nazi efficiency and supported the “American Bund.”

There’s nothing about being smart that keeps you from making dangerous decisions about political support.
