Report: Biden Wanted Trump Prosecuted Earlier, Regrets Garland Pick
Breitbart ^ | 29 Dec 2024 | JOEL B. POLLAK

Posted on 12/29/2024 12:36:19 PM PST by Mr. Mojo

President Joe Biden reportedly wanted the Department of Justice to target then-former President Donald Trump for prosecution far sooner and more aggressively than it did, and regrets naming Merrick Garland as Attorney General.

The report, published in the Washington Post on Saturday, echoes reporting nearly three years ago by the New York Times, which suggested in 2022 that Biden was frustrated with the slow pace of Garland, a “ponderous judge.”

The Post noted:

<< In private, Biden has also said he should have picked someone other than Merrick Garland as attorney general, complaining about the Justice Department’s slowness under Garland in prosecuting Trump, and its aggressiveness in prosecuting Biden’s son Hunter, according to people familiar with his comments. … Ron Klain, Biden’s incoming chief of staff, pushed for Garland. He stressed that Garland — a federal judge with a sterling reputation for independence and fairness — would show Americans that Biden was rebuilding a department badly shaken by Trump’s political attacks.

Biden was persuaded, and some Democrats believe the decision had devastating results. Had the Justice Department moved faster to prosecute Trump for allegedly seeking to overturn the 2020 election and mishandling classified documents, they say, the former president might have faced a politically damaging trial before the election. (Others blame the Supreme Court and a Trump-appointed judge in Florida for repeatedly siding with the former president and delaying the cases; the Justice Department declined to comment.) >>

Sounds like we are not the only ones regretting our AG pick. Garland turned out to be their Sessions. LOL.

So the purpose of the DOJ is to prosecute political opponents.

Good to know.

Biden is the most authoritarian president we’ve had in the history of the United States.

Senile has never had the interests of this country and its citizens at heart. You can see it with the erasure of the border, the importation of criminal illegal aliens, the release of evil remorseless murderers, the family corruption with bribes from foreign powers in return for who knows what, the adoption of a two-tier system of justice, the persecution of innocent people who did nothing wrong on J6, the appointment of weirdos and incompetents to high level positions, I could go on and on. Twenty-two days of this horror to go.

"...[the DOJ's] aggressiveness in prosecuting Biden’s son"

What a bunch of BS. Hunter Biden had his lawyers cook up a plea deal in the summer of '23 that would have completely dropped the gun charges. His plea deal with the government unraveled when U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika.raised questions about the terms of the agreement. It appeared that she believed she was being asked to act as a "rubber stamp" for the deal.

The DOJ was so LAX and DEVIOUS in its prosecution of Hunter Biden that they were trying to pull a fasts one on Judge Noreika. She caught on at almost the last minute that she was being used and scotched the plea deal.

"Aggressiveness" my ass. The DOJ was working feverishly to get the filthy spawn off.

“There has to be a special place in Hell for Joe Biden.”
If hell is overbooked, one can achieve almost the same results by forcing the Biden-turd to live in California.

This smells like a leak directly from Garland to the Times. Garland was practically Biden’s Heinrich Himmler, and now he’s seeking to distance himself from his flagrantly partisan tenure at DOJ to cover his own ass. Don’t fall for it folks!

Regrets the lawfare wasn’t worse. Sick.

Like SDS radical Bill Ayers in the 1960s and 70s when the Weatherman group was setting off homemade bombs in government buildings, university ones and even the NYC townhouse row where Dustin Hoffman lived (photo showed him fleeing the burning buildings.)

As a senior citizen later lionized as a university professor in Chicago Ayers was asked if he had regrets.

NY Times. Sep 11, 2001 — ‘’I don’t regret setting bombs,’’ Bill Ayers said. ‘’I feel we didn’t do enough.’’ Mr. Ayers, who spent the 1970’s as a fugitive.

“If hell is overbooked, one can achieve almost the same results by forcing the Biden-turd to live in California.”

A couple days ago I posted that the entire Biden family should have everything confiscated. Every asset. All real estate. Every vehicle. Every penny wherever it might be stashed now. Then let them loose to survive in the real world. Dropping them in California would be just fine.

Finally we might see those smug smirks disappear from their filthy faces. Let them experience what we hoi polloi do as we live our lives every day. They’ve been living high off the hog for the 50+ years that Joe’s been on the grift in DC. Being impoverished nobodies would be worse for them than prison or death.

What else would you expect from the ringleader of a high-tech lynch mob?
