Reading the Matt Gaetz Ethics Report
Wall Street Journal ^ | December 23, 2024 | WSJ Editorial Board

Posted on 12/24/2024 4:50:56 AM PST by karpov

Whether Donald Trump realizes it or not, Republicans did him a favor by making clear that former Rep. Matt Gaetz was unconfirmable as U.S. Attorney General. On Monday the House Ethics Committee released a 37-page report from its misconduct inquiry into Mr. Gaetz, which found “substantial evidence” of drug use, prostitution, and statutory rape.

“The Committee heard testimony from over half a dozen witnesses who attended parties, events, and trips with Representative Gaetz from 2017-2020,” it says. “Nearly every young woman that the Committee interviewed confirmed that she was paid for sex by, or on behalf of, Representative Gaetz.” Some were first contacted via “a ‘sugar dating’ website,” the report adds. Mr. Gaetz “did not appear to have negotiated specific payment amounts.”

Yet the committee alleges that the terms of the deal were clear. “The women had a general expectation that they would typically receive some amount of money after each sexual encounter,” it says. One woman who got $5,000 over two years testified: “99 percent of the time that [Representative Gaetz and I] were hanging out, there was sex involved.” Text messages included lines such as: “Btw Matt also mentioned he is going to be a bit generous.”

The report says the record “overwhelmingly suggests” Mr. Gaetz had sex with a 17-year-old at a house party in 2017, when he was 35, citing corroboration by “multiple individuals.” The woman testified she was given “$400 in cash from Representative Gaetz that evening, which she understood to be payment for sex.” She said “she did not inform Representative Gaetz that she was under 18 at the time, nor did he ask.” The committee says it has evidence Mr. Gaetz didn’t learn her age until later, while noting that “statutory rape is a strict liability crime.”

Full article. Gaetz is a sleazebag utterly unfit to be Attorney General, and the Freepers who deny that would condemn a Democratic AG nominee who had done the same things.

Yet no charges were ever filed. The Democrats could foil every nominee by having women come forth.

Then why did the DOJ decline to prosecute him? Oh yeah, maybe because the FBI investigated Gaetz and found that the charges were baseless.

Hence the most “important” feature in DC, and the most secretive, the “Blackmail Bank of America..” Why has the Federal Government gone into $37 trillion dollars in debt, and where has that money gone? Who gets paid the interest on it? Betcha it’s every trillion dollar hedge fund.

They do that all the time. Remember Kavanaugh?

These news outlets printing articles like this may very well make Gaetz a very wealthy man, or did they learn nothing from the Trump/ABC settlement? The wording in this article puts them at great risk.

Any and all sex with and by Dems is great and the more perverted and the younger the better. All they endlessly talk about is sex sex sex.

But a Republican has sex? Bad bad bad!

Perhaps the committee has not noticed all the perverts that Biden picked to celebrate and mainstream sexual weirdness and perversion.

So, my guess would be that the big diffs between Gaetz and Bubba Clinton was that Bubba paid more and his boinkees were younger. But of course, we must not forget the Democrat’s patented and registered double standard.

On Oct 9th, Gaetz was on the Benny Johnson podcast and accused a certain foreign government of being behind Epstein’s death.

This is what did him in. Otherwise he would have been treated the same way every other degenerate scumbag in Washington has always been treated.

I lived in Tallahassee and there was/are a few upscale bars a block away from the Capitol. During session, you saw all kinds of things. Lawmakers, staffers and partying college students frequented this area during session. It was always a little to pricey for my budget but the times we did go down there, you’d see some of the strangest things.

A few years back, we were at a bar and the older guy seated next to us, I mean 70+ easily, was waiting on his date he met on Tinder. The guy I was with talked with him more. I later found out the old guy used to be on some state commission or something. So his date showed up. She couldn’t have been older than 30. She didn’t want to chit chat and they left. If you saw them you would think he is with his grand-daughter.

These sleazy goings-on involved consenting adults and were little more than private business transactions. Yes, one of the parties was under 18, but the “dating” website where she offered herself for sex requires all participants to swear they’re over the age of consent. She was lying from the start. But yes, Gaetz is a sleazebag; he reminds me of the Herb Tarlek character on “WKRP.”

There are two sides to this story. Gaetz strenuously denies the allegations and never was given an opportunity to rebut them or confront hopes accusers. This is retribution for taking out McCarthy.

A Florida businessman who is a key figure in the sex and drug allegations against former Congressman Matt Gaetz has called the House Ethics Committee’s biased investigation report “reckless,” demanding the retraction of multiple “demonstrably false statements,” The National Pulse can reveal.Lawyers representing Christopher Dorworth note that former Congressman Gaetz is not even under the Committee’s jurisdiction before explaining in a letter sent just hours after the committee’s report was leaked to the corporate media that it contains at least three falsehoods.

https://thenationalpulse.com/2024/12/23/exc-key-figure-in-gaetz-ethics-report-blasts-haphazard-sloppy-committee-demands-retractions/

As we have seen with the Lawfare directed at Trump, it is premature to jump to conclusions based on government investigations. The Establishment wants to take out Gaetz politically. He is a threat to the GOPe. Let’s wait for the rebuttal.

I don’t know for certain that the ‘evidence’ in the report is true or not. Seems to me someone like the FBI/DOJ or state LE would have seen this ‘evidence’ and made a decision of whether or not to prosecute. All I do know is he was an effective political thorn in the Democrats’ hides, and they are not above using sex or other allegations to ‘pull the thorn.’

Remember Kavanaugh, look at Hegseth, hell...remember Clarence Thomas. Just three examples of Democrats using sex to tank someone.

Uh huh.

The committee interviewed women and they all verified that Gaetz paid for sex. Wow, and Trump is a sexual predator as a New York “committee” also known as. A NYC Jury and NYC judge found about Trump.

But these women, behind closed doors, they testified about Gaetz.

No hand on the bible testimony subject to cross examination.

A committee. Of Congress people who all just loved Gaetz. I mean, it’s not like anyone was out to get that guy.

You know, a committee, like the one who heard the testimony of Christine Ballsy Ford. Kavanaugh? Oh yah, rings a bell. He was a sexual pervert as well.

A CONGRESSIONAL COMMITTEE!!! Like the ones who recommended Trump’s impeachment and found Russian Collusion and heard about that call to Ukraine.

Like the J6 committee.

Forgive me for giving a crep about what a Congressional committee finds.

A million and one ways to lawfare in DC:

Special Counsel

FBI

DC Grand Jury

Leaks

And when that all fails, a committee of Congress. Finding much about political enemies. Doing little about government abuse of your rights, waste, fraud and every other abuse of power.

Big deal
I had several live-in girl friends in the ‘80’s.
Bought one a car when she moved out. She had a 4 year old daughter and no ride. That’s the kind of man I am.
Also 2 wives.
I loved them all. They all left me, but they left better off than I met them. One of the wives was on drugs (I didn’t know it at the time). She moved in with her sister at a religious commune to get away from her drug using “friends”, left me a note and just disappeared. I didn’t know where she was for 4 years. I never used drugs so I didn’t recognize the signs.
I’m certain Matt has the same history.

In many states, the age of consent is under 18.

The accuser admints Gaetz did not know her age.

How many men can perceive the few months shy of an 18th birthday?

Accused of statutory rape where it would be completely legal in most states.

The magic number of 18 is a legal fiction.

Females know what they are doing way before the 18th birthday.

“The last two states to raise their age of general consent from under 16 to 16 or higher were Georgia, which raised the age of consent from 14 to 16 in 1995” — Wikipedia

“statutory rape is a strict liability crime.”

How'd I know that girl was 15? She said she was 17. She looked 16.
