A former police officer with the Washington, DC, Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) was found guilty of leaking information to a former Proud Boys leader.
United States District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson found Shane Lamond, the former head of the MPD’s intelligence unit, guilty of one count of obstructing justice and three counts of having lied to “federal law enforcement officials,” according to the Hill.
Lamond was previously charged with alerting former Proud Boys Leader Enrique Tarrio about a “warrant out for his arrest” prior to the January 6, 2021, riot at the United States Capitol.
The Hill noted that Lamond had reportedly “lied and said that he did not tip off” the former Proud Boys leader regarding a “warrant out for his arrest.”

This happened almost 4 years ago, and suddenly he’s being called out? Maybe it was a hidden fact until now.
Somebody talked.
I would guess a lot of officers have told friends that they have a warrant and need to turn themselves in.
That’s what sent Martha Stewart to prison. Be polite. But don’t talk to the Feds. Just don’t.
Tell the FBI you went to bed at 9:00 and you really went to bed at 9:15 (innocent mistake) and you’ve just committed a felony.
This police officer was in a difficult situation. He was probably threatened with being fired if he didn’t cooperate. So then it’s time to fall back on the Hillary defense.
Nor am I.
Trump hater judge. Pure evil.
Pardon this guy too, along with Enrique
hope trump pardons him..its the season of pardons
I remembered the situation regarding Enrique Tarrio back just before the 1/6 excitement. I read the article linked for this thread where it said Tarrio had spent 1/6 in Baltimore as he had been warned. Back then I remember feeling somewhat confused about the various stories that were going around. It was indeed said then that Tarrio had been arrested for defacing a pro black banner. It was also suggested he was an FBI informant. My thought given what I had been hearing was that this arrest warrant may have been the FBI’s way of getting an agent out of the planned mess on 1/6. It would not be surprising if this police officer was confused. Given the difference between the Trump interpretation of the 1/6 events and his attitudes toward the FBI, and the Biden administration interpretation of those same events, I lot of really strange stuff may indeed come crawling out of the woodwork in the coming year.
Their focus on Lamond and Tarrio is entirely political.
Tarrio was the Afro-Cuban leader of Proud Boys. That destroys the narrative of them being a white supremacist group. Tarrio was sentenced to 22 years in federal prison for J6 even though he wasn’t there.
They want to destroy Lamond over something minor, but what they really hate is that Lamond caused Tarrio not to be in D.C. on J6. They wanted to crucify Tarrio and could only do the job halfway due to this.
Even if both of these men made bad choices, Trump should pardon them because of the injustice of their being targets for politically motivated reasons.
They anchored the conviction of the Proud Boys on the basis of exchanges between members in an open chat group.
Somewhere, there must be a communique from Merrick Garland directing the DC judges on how to rule on these cases.
Find it.
Every Republican and conservative needs to change their name to “Hunter Biden.”
Do Dems and RINOs ever get in trouble for leaking?
No.
Better yet, change their name to Hillary Clinton. Then they know that they are home free.
I am not suppose to know when there is a warrant out for my arrest and given a chance to turn myself in peacefully?
Since she is a public employee, what is her address and telephone number...
I’m not familiar with this story.

The April sentencing will never happen.
Pardon him too.
