Exploding knife crime in Germany, which the police openly says is tied to mass immigration, has led to a security state at German Christmas markets.

I flew to LA and back with pocket knife.. they did check the blade length and found it was A-OK! A few months later 9-11 happened. I doubt I could do that now.

Same here. A necessity. Handy and practical for many tasks, I don't go anywhere without one. If taken away, I have dozens more at home. Never been attacked by a knife-wielding elderly woman, but have been acosted by young drunk guys with a knife. Leave the old ladies with some protection!
