Senator Chris Coons (D-DE) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that after last week’s budget battle, it would be difficult for Republicans to pass President-elect Donald Trump’s agenda.
Co-host Dana Bash said, “We’ve heard Democrats touting what ended up happening in the early wee hours of yesterday morning as a victory over Donald Trump. But in the end, the bill that you all voted for didn’t include a lot of Democratic priorities that were initially in the deal with Speaker Johnson. So what does that portend about what’s going to come up? I mean, this fight is going to happen again in March.

I guess Coon’s likes all of those pork laden bills.
Trump’s first Executive Order is entitled, “Coons, put a sock in it.”
Please democrats, by all means double down on open borders, censorship, transgender rights, and blocking any measure to destroy the deep state.
Says a frickin’ Democrat, that’s who. So what else is new?
If Trump does get to do only ONE thing/area, it’s the border. Turn Tom Homan loose and let him get rid of these illegals AND build/finish that fence. Let Trump EO and EA anything he needs for it and let the Democrats howl and sue through DOJ (if they can).
Oh “difficult “ ok then forget it. Let Joe stay in. Hell with it.
More like “If it were easy, Democrats would do it…”
Coon’s just challenged Trump. Stupid move on his part.
Good thing Trump doesn’t need any legislation. The Secure Fence Act (2006) is already on the books, as are dozens of laws and SCOTUS rulings regarding consequences of illegal entry into the United States, and establishing clear authority to the Executive branch for enforcement. Trump can also deny a single penny to Ukraine and refuse to sign any Congressional attempts to do so. His record tax cuts are still on the books for another year. He can fire thousands of Marxist and DEI Federal employees and overturn the DOJ, FBI, CIA, and dozens of other departments. Etc. There is no shortage of things Trump can do without Congress.
Dems learned nothing from the election. They are remarkably tone deaf.
He’s right.
There is nearly no majority in the House. Plenty of RINOs to oppose any populist legislation.
And frankly, he SHOULD be right. The goal is to reduce government. The goal is to have no agenda. Not advance one. About all that can be done is revector spending at Homeland Security to deportations. No new money for that. Strictly old money.
But there WILL be spending increase. It just won’t be on an agenda. It will be the interest on the inexorably growing debt.
And the PSYOPS begin.
Focus on all that Trump has changed already.
Things are changing.
It’s a numbers game. Hopefully he can get 218 republicans to pass in the house and 60 senators in the senate.
Everything Trump does to downsize the bloated and overbearing administrative state will be a win.
Each department, program and employee he cuts will serve to take away the weaponized bureaucracy the Dems rely on to exercise control over the people.
This is the weapon they use and it must be taken away from them. That’s how to hurt them.
Godspeed to Trump, Elon and Vivek in their quest to restore sanity to government.
You got all the shots, right?
Ok, your opinion is noted, thanks for sharing.
Coons is a snake.
I'd forgotten about that.

“Hopefully he can get 218 republicans to pass in the house”

This is going to be a constant problem. The GOP is weak to begin, with and many of them have no affinity for Trump (regardless of what their voters want).
