Another day, another campus hate crime hoax.
This time it is at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee.
“Thanks to the tireless efforts of our Campus Safety officers and the Memphis Police Department, the investigation into the hate crime that occurred recently on our campus has ended with the identification of the perpetrator and the conclusion this incident was fabricated,” Rhodes College told The College Fix via email on Thursday.
“This individual has admitted responsibility,” the media team told The Fix. “This matter has caused enormous pain to our community, and we are taking the appropriate steps to hold this individual accountable, including all legal avenues that may be available to us.”
The college told The Fix it would not be publicly identifying the person or their “relationship” to Rhodes.
“The message was discovered earlier this month, strewn across the National Panhellenic Council Plaza, which is the only space on campus to pay tribute to the historically Black sororities and fraternities,” according to Action 5 News.
The notes were left over Thanksgiving break.

Fake hate crimes against blacks are in fact real hate crimes against all whites.
We want our reparations and we them now!
Finally! The eggheads are punishing an unidentified criminal.
it’s always a hoax
there is one race who tells the world they are victims because of the melonin content in their skin
another far more moronic race believes their BS and wants to give them other peoples stuff
Of course it was.
They always are.
Actual racist actions against minorities being such short supply...
the demand for racism greatly exceeds the supply....hoaxes fill the gap...sort of like fake Rolexes.
The hoaxers should be charged with the same “hate crime” that was intended to be invoked by the hoaxer.
Fake hate crime hoaxes should be treated as a Federal civil rights violation.
Apparently this commotion was caused by a student who wrote tasteless, provocative notes but did not bring any physical harm or did not directly incite any physical harm. She is being severely punished by the college. It can and should be argued that this student, however misguided, was engaging in free speech. Thoughout history writers have used irony, insults and provocation to make their points, stand out and reach audiences. When an institution comes down hard on a writer, even a misguided and hateful writer, it is censorship and society is poorer for it. As always the best response to free speech you don’t like, is more free speech.
A reliable income stream can be created by always betting on HOAX when these incidents occur.
They just had to get Trump's name in there................
All Freepers should be aware of this site for conservative apologetics:

“The college told The Fix it would not be publicly identifying the person or their “relationship” to Rhodes.”
If this were not a hoax, the perp’s name and pic would be headline news for the next 2 months.
Yes, but.
I'm as ardent a free speech advocate as anyone, and I agree with you. But the reality is that the Left has criminalized free speech by defining it as "hate speech" and they have destroyed people over it. So as long as the Left is doing that, they can bloody well eat what they dish out.
If in a better future they see the error of their ways, and they drop this "hate speech" BS, then the proper action (as you wrote) will be appropriate.
WUT?! I’ve never heard of such a thing.... Oh, wait. Is this some sort of uniting stunt?
Imagine if we just develop the maturity to not worry about it when someone writes or says something with an n-word and we just yawn and say big deal.
Then we will have better racial harmony and not make nutcases of ourselves over every minor incident.
And the hoaxers and even the real racists would just get tired of even doing it.
Makes me sick reading their statement about all the pain it caused their community.
Just grow the hell up.
Rhodes College is apparently a private institution. People who attend there voluntarily tacitly agree to the institutions rules and practices. It is difficult for this young student to complain that her constitutional rights are being violated. However when a public, government institution violates the civil rights of individuals for “hate speech” or “misinformation” then these actions should again be brought before the courts. So far the courts have granted government educational institutions considerable latitude in regulating such speech and disciplining students. However the time may be right for the Supreme Court to put an end to the nonsense , stop censorship and reaffirm free speech.
The leftists cannot let American race relations advance. They have always needed the wedge.
I agree 100% with allendale. Or put another way, if we give the govt the fake authority to drop hard on private Rhodes College for policies that don't allow free speech in all forms (freaking out over the n-word hoax), then we give govt the same fake authority to drop hard on Christian private colleges if someone doesn't like their Christian policies.
