President-elect Donald Trump’s most striking characteristics today are clarity, confidence, and calm. This is extraordinary in a man renowned for chaos, confusion, and the thin-skinned hurling of demeaning insults. But it is a truth that needs to be acknowledged and accounted for to understand what we are witnessing as Trump prepares to resume the presidency.
His press conference at Mar-a-Lago on Dec. 16 revealed a man almost preternaturally at ease with himself, his mission, his domestic support, and his acceptance abroad. His tone was measured, even somewhat humble, despite some bragging. When he dismissed questions, as he justifiably did once or twice, it was not done angrily or in a way that looked petty but with an assurance that widened the gap between himself and his erstwhile adversaries.
The press asked questions almost deferentially, showing respect for his office and a quietude rooted in the magnitude of his political triumph and mandate. The spectacle was a stunning contrast with the media maelstrom of his first term, when the likes of CNN’s Jim Acosta, posing vainly as a modern-Danton or people’s tribune, treated Trump as though he were axiomatically as illegitimate a president as Hillary Clinton and others bitterly claimed.
But as the days and weeks of the current presidential transition pass by, the significance of the stunning electoral outcome on Nov. 5 is settling on Trump, the nation, and the rest of the world.

It’s taken me a while, but I believe it was God’s will for Trump to lose 2020, and Biden to get in, if for no other reason than to bring us to our knees in prayer, as the corruption in our government was revealed; corruption that, though not in Trump, was in the deep state all around him during his first term. Now it has been fully exposed, not by Trump, but by the sheer weight of it, as the Biden administration exhibited it. Trump would not have gotten nearly as much done in a 2020 win, as he will be able to get done now. His support is much stronger and now encompasses powerful people who did not support him in 2016 or 2020. Praise the LORD! His ways are not our ways, and His plans are far superior to ours.

Unlike the vast majority of leftist commentators who are blaming the American voter, he's astute enough to recognize the messaging problem on the left. He's at no risk for embracing MAGA. Rather, he's going to polish the lies, refine the fraud, and be prepared for 2028.

For sure. Try this: a family friend and chef is found dead at Mar-a-Lago. The story if whether Trump was there changes several times. After a couple days Trump shows up with bruises, arm cut and a BS golf injury story. What happens next?
Trump should invite the Obamas to Mar-a-Lago if he hasn’t already...What could go wrong?
Since Trump is considering not inviting some of the mainstream media to his daily White House press briefings, that may be why the press more civil. CNN and MSNBC should definitely be prevented from being on White House property.

Except for ^^^ what you wrote above, I agree with you. God has His ways and He will allow us tough times to allow us to turn toward Him for help and needs.

Well put. He didn’t fail, he over achieved in the “Divide and Conquer” strategy but we weren’t going to stay divided forever and jobiden sucked at his job.
Over and over we hear about the democRATS and their “messaging problem.”
If the democRATS and demoKKKrats actually spoke the truth about who they are, and what they intend, they would never again win anything. Fortunately, the democRAT “utopias” of San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, etc are the shining examples for all to see. That, combined with the damage they inflict nationally (gas & food prices, regulations) demonstrates the truth. For months before the recent election, I would tell all the doubters that EVERYONE has to pay the higher gas and food prices. The democRATS are a bi-coastal minority, and cannot win without cheating. Many moons ago, a San Francisco DemocRAT stated the truth about elections: “if we do not win, we do not eat.” Getting a real job, getting up every morning and going to work is anathema to them.
I have a higher regard for used toilet paper than I do the Obamas.
In defense of the commenter, it was a personal reply (like this one) in which if anyone else was really interested, they could find the original post pretty easily.
