A winning party, if you can keep it

We’re presently in the political equivalent of the eye of a hurricane. We all know that the 2024 election was just one battle, and the enemies of liberty on the left are steeling themselves for the inevitable counterattack. They will be back with the same old lies based on media domination and language manipulation. Once again, division is employed to control the people as they accuse and project those sins on us.

The bad news for the left is that the election was far more damaging for it than anyone realized. It was simply a landslide victory when you consider that the entire media and celebrity complex was behind the left. Even worse for leftists is the fact that the media have been completely discredited, whole swaths of former voter demographics have switched parties and we’re seeing a political realignment in this country — and around the world — that could easily set the collectivist left back forever.

But only if we work hard to keep this a winning party.  Even last week, the New York Times is forecasting that the left is going to be the losing party for decades.  It couldn’t have happened to a nicer cadre of communists.

2020 was a blessing in disguise

Authoritarian leftists should be careful about what they wish for, because sometimes they’ll get it.  As Dennis Prager pointed out, their “win” in 2020 was probably not the best for them.  First of all, we have that whole issue of millions of inadvertent extra votes to contend with.  But beyond that, they did themselves a disservice by going hog-wild with their COVID assistance.

I think this is true.

If we’d have won 2020, then Trump would be ending with his cadre of establishment Republicans. Now he comes back and distrusts the establishment thoroughly.

Hearing Sachs speak about it, it seems like it’s a fight now between the pacifists and the war hawks. Hopefully the pacifists win his ear and these stupid and pointless wars end.

And Biden and Obama should go to jail for hundreds of thousands of lives that they cost the world.

Yeah, they’re going to have to rebrand or split. If the economy is ascendant in 2026, the Dems are going to lose the midterms and completely crash and burn.

Respectfully central_va, even Trump had underestimated the size and power of the deep state in 2020 imo. Desperate Democrats simply called all allegations of ballot box fraud a conspiracy theory.

Part of the reason that he became a private citizen after his first term was so that he'd have more flexibility to study the situation and plan a remedy for it imo.

Personally I could have done without all the damage of the last 4 years.

We are in a deep hole. Trump can pull us out but we wouldn't be here now if not for the rigged election. Think of all the dreams of retirement, others starting a young family or buying a home that have been put on hold. It is travesty.

Several million middle & leftists are no longer in the middle & on the left. They have moved rightward, probably to stay.

The only reason the landslide was not openly bigger was liberal Kalifornia Dems “curing” and counting their way to steal several more House seats in the month following Nov. 5.
