President-elect Donald Trump told reporters at a press conference on Monday at Mar-a-Lago, Florida, that he would consider pardoning New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who was indicted on federal corruption charges in September.

The indictment alleged that Adams exchanged favors for Turkey in return for campaign contributions that were then used to obtain matching campaign funds for the city. It also alleged that he obtained benefits such as hotel upgrades.

Favors for Turkey in return for campaign contributions.

No pardon no excuse for one he’s a criminal in action and won’t get any better he’s of no use.

Although Trump got very little credit for his showing of mercy......

Kwame Kilpatrick vowed a comeback. Trump made it happen

Detroit Free Press, January 20, 2021.

While many Detroiters played a role in securing Kilpatrick’s freedom, lobbying Trump for leniency and mercy, it was the embattled president who ultimately came through for Kilpatrick, freeing him 20 years early for public corruption crimes that he was convicted of in 2013.

Trump included Kilpatrick on his clemency list, which was released by the White House late Tuesday. Less than 24 hours later, Kilpatrick was freed from prison and rejoined his family in Georgia.

The commutation order for former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, signed by President Donald Trump before he left office.
Since his conviction, Kilpatrick had lost all appeals. The U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear his case. He sought a commutation from President Barack Obama, but it was denied.

If it was politically motivated, Adams should get a pardon.

“Why show any mercy to a Democrat when they have none.”

Just sit back, grab a handful of popcorn and enjoy the show. I’m waiting for Adams to turn over federal evidence regarding Bragg, James and the NY justices who perpetrated the crimes against Trump.

Why should he show mercy? Seems like I remember something from the beatitudes about this.

47 might take a thumping on this one but I think he’s got the political capital to take a risk if he thinks it’s necessary to move his agenda. Plus it won’t matter to the far left race hustlers but it ought to resonate with those who are on the fence about Trump...

So we can turn Adams into Trump’s b***h? That benefit + it really does seem like it may have been politically motivated are good enough for me
