House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer demanded answers from the Selective Service agency for reposting a vulgar social media screed last month suggesting the US may be on a similar trajectory to Nazi Germany.
Although the report was subsequently scrubbed from the Selective Service’s official X account, Comer (R-Ky.) is keen on obtaining additional information on the matter and wants to ensure the perpetrator is fired....
One day after the Nov. 5 election, the Selective Service X account reposted a remark by user “SloJoe” likening the incoming Trump administration to Nazi Germany.
“For all you stupid [xxx] out there that still believe military service will be voluntary. Remember Germany 1936,” the post said....

USA has gotten perilously close to a Nazi/ communist dictatorship in recent years but maybe, just maybe, 🤔 it is pulling away from the precipice now.
I see Trump as more traditionally conservative, i.e. Constitution, limited government.

In WWII, my father went ashore at Normandy,, after a month of training at a base in Texas. He left his street clothes and things at the base..
Before the men got off the boat at Normandy, they were given orders to follow.
Run.. do not stop till you reach shore and after.. do not stop to help a fallen soldier.. but if they are dead, take their rifle and ground equipment, if possible.
German soldiers were on the hill shooting at them as they ran... some didn’t make it.
they went ashore, knowing their chances were less than 50 50, yet they did not hesitate... they did as ordered.
they walked across cold and wet France, digging fox holes to stay in from the cold.. if only for one night.. they were wet and dirty for long periods,
Arlington holds many of those from that war... families lost husbands, brothers, sons... and today they sit in Washington making steps to consider us all the enemy. Those men in Washington were not born when men were dying for the freedoms those men are trying to take from us.
