In a video released Dec. 2, Julie Hartman says she spent eight hours in the hospital with Dennis. “So many of you are asking for information… All we want is information. This is going to be weeks, months for him to recuperate. If we’re not telling you information, it’s not because we are withholding it. We don’t have information… Dennis is 100% mentally there. He even said it to me with his limited ability to mouth words.”
I find it odd how everybody who knows Prager’s condition won’t say much about it.
It must have to do with his boss Salem and its affiliates and ad contracts. As long as the daily show remains the Dennis Prager show, even with substitute hosts, Salem can charge full price, but once Salem admits that Dennis Prager will never be back, they immediately lose money.
It doesn’t matter how much Dennis Prager values honesty and transparency, we’re talking a buck here, buddy, and the lawyers’ directions come first.
A Nov. 20 post on RadioDiscussions.com reads: “The problem with replacing a show is that affiliates sign contracts for that show. Scheduling guest hosts doesn’t change their contracts. But if they completely replace the show, the affiliate contract becomes void. So it’s easier to just have guest hosts. Also, the guest works with Prager’s team. Replacing the show puts the production team out of work.”

I find it odd how this fellow seems to want to thrust his hand into Prager's side.
He ain't your close family member. You have no right to stick your nose into his health issues.
What happened to Prager?
He really got injured.
It won’t be the same if he can’t do his show and accommodations cannot be made for him to do his show.

All I’ve read is that he had a bad fall and possibly broke his back.
I heard he fell down a flight of stairs several weeks ago.......man, that musta been some bad fall.

Why should they cancel him? He’ll be back. LORD, heal I pray, in your mighty mercy. The Bible tells us, “the Jew looks for a sign”. I’ve no doubt You’ve given him a few already. Pour the blessings on him, LORD. He is doing Your work.

He’s only 76, but a severe injury can knock an older feller back even if he recovers physically.

I had no information on this other than that he fell and it was “serious.”
I pray for his recovery.
It sounds like he has no intent to deceive people but his contract, legal staff and network lawyers may have reasons to do so, possibly.
Note: Almost all the radio shows since the 1988 national breakthrough for Rush Limbaugh have had reruns or guest hosts for Thanksgiving week, Christmas and New Years weeks, lots of Mondays and Fridays and other times. Some are built into the contracts at the start. Michael Savage (no longer on terrestrial radio) joked “Doesn’t anybody work all week any more? Doesn’t anyone honor the work ethic?” About all workers including radio rivals.
So there could be a mysterious moment when Prager’s return is obviously not going to happen and then the law firms will face off.
Remember Rush faced horrifying sudden drop in hearing and then had surgery to have implants for deafness, using his assistant to pretend he could hear the phone callers and to tell him when the bumper music was coming on to end a segment or the show. Then he battled stage four cancer for a long time and was said to be in pain and very weak after sessions at the hospital but refusing to just stay off the air to rest. He was a great man.
Prayers up for Dennis Prager who does a lot of good with his books including the Rational Bible commentary series which are evenhanded and valuable for Bible study. I have them. Latest is Numbers.
This Luke Ford character doesn’t seem to be a fan of Dennis. Or Conservatism.

When Rush was excited, modest and deeply honored to have his family around him for the 1993 National Radio Hall of Fame it was nearly spoiled by the typical biased trashing of him by Sally Jessy Raphael.
Like today’s woke types she didn’t just read the honor document as she was told, she made crude jokes and feminist asides and said —I can read these words but I don’t agree with them. No one asked her opinions.
She tried to ruin it for Rush. Unforgivable.
