Meatpackers: Trump Deportations Mean Cheaper Chickens and Higher Wages
Breitbart ^ | 12 Dec 2024 | NEIL MUNRO

President Donald Trump’s mass repatriation of illegal migrants could lower the price of chicken dinners and also raise family wages, according to AviNews.com, a poultry industry news site.

“The poultry industry heavily relies on immigrant labor. Many of these workers are undocumented, and their roles are crucial in processing plants and farms, the article noted on December 11, adding:

The loss of this labor force could force companies to increase wages to attract [American] domestic workers.

Moreover, the return of many illegal migrants to their home countries would also reduce consumer consumption of chicken products, the site noted:

Immigrants are not only a vital part of the workforce but also a significant portion of the consumer base. A reduction in the immigrant population due to deportations would decrease the number of consumers purchasing poultry products. This reduction in demand could lead to an oversupply of poultry meat, driving down prices and potentially leading to financial losses for producers.

The predictions of higher wages and cheaper chicken are very different from the gloom-and-doom messages from pro-migration lobbies in Washington D.C.

Better wages and more jobs would keep more money here, paying US taxes.

Yes, get rid of illegals, but most importantly, get FDA and USDA boot of the neck of small farmers, and particularly, small, local slaughterhouses and dairies

Globalism was always designed to lower wages and gut the middle class.

Deporting illegals will also impact the health care system and schools, freeing them both from being flooded with non-paying illegals (health care) and non-English speaking, years-behind children that burden the schools at the expense of American students.

Yeah. Proximity cuts down costs. Also, muzzies are a big part of food processing. Murdering, filthy psychos in charge of food. What could go wrong?

“Immigrants are not only a vital part of the workforce but also a significant portion of the consumer base”

And Citizens (with a capitol C) are just what, irrelevant?

Confiscate their land and rescind their business licenses if they are found using slave, er, “immigrunt” labor. These a**holes try to have it both ways: vociferous about their own property rights, which stem ENTIRELY from the Citizenry, and completely silent about complying with immigration laws.

There’s no such thing as “private property”. It’s an abstract concept, enforced in law by mutual agreement. The so-called American Indians had no such agreements, they competed for territory endlessly and had no formal means of dividing it and recording it.

Does Tyson Foods want to go back to that? Cool. We can recruit an angry army of White Protestants and sack their plants, like any good raiding culture. Hey, it’s our history. Waltons got nice ranches up their in Jackson! Be a shame if they got overrun by WASP settlers, kinda like what happened to the Mexicans in California back in 1846.

They aren’t immigrants, they’re invaders. They get treated as such.

Aren't employers required to use E-Verify to vet new employees? Why aren't they doing this? Why aren't they being held accountable by the governing agency?

Here’s a question no one has answered What happens to the money that illegal aliens pay into SS (the ones that use a fake or stole SSN, not the ones paid cash under the table)? It has to be in the tens of billions of dollars per month. ($100 per illegal alien times 10,000,000)

Think real hard. What do you think are the answers?

IF the price of chicken goes down, it will be only temporary. The meat chickens mature in only 43 days and the industry will quickly ramp down on production.

Say it louder for those in the back!

GET RID OF USDA FEDERAL MEAT INSPECTION PROGRAM ENTIRELY.

The states can handle it fine. Watch small farms bloom and corporate meat packing wither.

There will definitely be winners and losers if Trump is able to drive out a significant number of Illegals (10 million plus), but that doesn’t matter much to me. What matters is that my kids and grandkids may have a country they can live in, rather than having to run-off to other countries, just to be able to walk around the block.

That is collusion and price fixing between "competitors" and highly illegal.

Agreed. And don't forget the attractiveness of exporting to get more market. I'm for it, but an unfortunate side-effect is it raises local prices.

I suspect you have no problem will illegal immigration. You are constantly “concern trolling” the issue. Please stop and go away.

Wrong.

Repatriating illegal immigrants will increase costs and prices.

That effect will overwhelm the reduced demand from the illegals who are forced to leave.

I’m totally okay with paying more for chicken because a bunch of lawbreakers were forced to leave.

There are no negatives to deporting the illegals.
