The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched hundreds of attacks on Syrian heavy weaponry and suspected chemical weapons facilities in the 24 hours since the fall of the Assad regime, as Israeli soldiers moved into Syrian territory.
Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad fled the country for Russia early Sunday morning as rebel forces, including Islamists, began moving into the capital city of Damascus. Russia and Iran were unwilling, or unable, to come to Assad’s aid.
Israel soon moved troops into the demilitarized zone between Israel and Syria, on Syrian territory, to deter Syrian rebels from attacking. It also occupied the peak of Mount Hermon, the highest in the region, on Syrian territory.

Too bad for Syria they didn’t join the Abraham Accords.
What happens when you blowup a chemical weapon stockpile. Does it just disappear or contaminate the area?
What’s Israel’s position on Caliphate II? Currently, the most renown head chopping terrorist still alive, rules over most of Syria. The lightly held, sacrificially held, area of eastern Syria and western Iraq by those U.S. bases is all that is keeping this butchers gallery of terrorists from taking all of Iraq.
I doubt this time around that there will be the crucial help from Russia and Iran that brought the CIA’s terrorists of Caliphate I to heel.
It's gonna be Hard Work with no days off, for Israel for a while.
Assad could have had it all, had he agreed to shed off Islamic Fascist Republic link.

Maybe they will now. It could happen. There is a new wind blowing in the Middle East. I pray that it is not an ill wind.
Turkey is trying to reconstitute the Levant Turkish-Ottoman Empire (without Germany). They ruled the Levant from 1285-1923, which included all of Israel, Syria, and Lebanon. They have a formidable force already in Syria and will begin their moves soon enough. Israel has an opportunity to defeat that goal of Erdogan before it gets any traction. They better take pre-emptive action.
Syrian “suspected chemical weapons facilities” are currently low hanging fruit. Take them out while it’s easy... Good for Netanyahu.
Well, if you’re blowing up the means of production it’s different than blowing up weapon stockpiles. Israel’s going after the facilities that create chemical weapons - it’s a good thing.
I'm certainly no expert, but I think I've read that some of those weapons combine two or more chemicals that, by themselves, are fairly harmless.
