House Speaker Mike Johnson on Wednesday rejected a White House request to pass $24 billion in additional aid for Ukraine by the end of the year, saying any further assistance for Kyiv would be decided by President-elect Trump when he assumes office in January.
“I’m not planning to do that,” Johnson said in response to a question if he would add aid for Ukraine to a continuing resolution to fund the government.
Johnson, speaking during a House Republican Leaders news conference, said Trump’s election victory is changing the dynamic of Russia’s war on Ukraine and that any additional U.S. assistance for Kyiv should be decided under the next administration.
“As we predicted and as I said to all of you, weeks before the election, if Donald Trump is elected it will change the dynamic of the Russian war on Ukraine, and we’re seeing that happen,” he said.

Keep up the good work, Mike. Enough is enough.
And it’s already been too much.
Don’t even bring it up for a vote.
Was Trump President then? Because that’s his rationalize for refusing it, now. It sure does matter who sits in the Oval Office! Thank You again, LORD, for getting President Trump re-elected!
Yet $7 billion is headed to Ukraine before The Don comes in. More theater.
Thank You again, LORD, for getting President Trump re-elected!

Stroll down memory lane-——Johnson’s $95 billion tax dollars to Ukraine
It was April 2024.
House Speaker Mike Johnson was on the phone with a man who suddenly held the keys to his
legislative agenda and potentially his own future: House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries.
In a phone call that has not been previously reported, Johnson said he was ready to act on foreign aid to Ukraine, even though that would enrage Republicans who did not support additional assistance to Ukraine and could potentially cost him his job, a source familiar with the conversation told CNN.
Jeffries pressed Johnson on how many Republicans he could deliver to support the $95 billion tax dollars aid for Ukraine, knowing House Democrats would have to bring the rest, the source added.

Excellent!
Lotsa Repubs vote for aid to Ukraine...

So, how many republicans have denied aid to Ukraine, including Johnson?
Fact is that, Johnson would approve of aid for Ukraine, if Trump requested it. Johnson does not want for Biden to take credit of any additional aid to Ukraine. If aid is coming to Ukraine, Trump will get the credit.
Once some start developing a spine, the trend spreads. The GOP has been too scared of the media for way too long. Finally, a few are waking up and realizing the media only has control for as long as you allow them to have it.
damn well better....
now go get the other $60 bil back!
The media is not going to inform anyone so Trump will have to do it himself.
He will name individual names and inform them that their services are no longer required and Lara Trump will begin organizing their primary challenge.
And no, there will no discussion. She is on a plane right now for your district, and your district and yours. If you think you can hold that seat while me or JD is in that district every day trashing you, then go ahead.
The GOPe will rage. And he won’t care.
No kidding. Those people are literally freezing to death and all government can do for them is get in the way.
