McConnell cries foul after 2 Democratic judges cancel retirement after Trump victory

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) vented his displeasure Monday after two Democratic-appointed federal judges reversed their decisions to retire in what appear to be efforts to stop President-elect Trump from nominating their successors.

McConnell called the unusual decisions to forgo retirement following Trump’s sweeping victory last month a “partisan” gambit that would undermine the integrity of federal courts.

“They rolled the dice that a Democrat could replace them and now that he won’t, they’re changing their plans to keep a Republican from doing it,” McConnell said on the Senate floor.

“It’s a brazen admission. And the incoming administration would be wise to explore all available recusal options with these judges, because it’s clear now that they have a political finger on the scale,” he said.

Actually this is good. I believe him. Something about judges he takes very seriously. He saved the Republic by denying Owunga the Scalia seat.

It looks like he could be trying to force them to retire and for Dems to ram through replacements in the lame duck session in a backhanded way to help the Dems.

That’s our “non-political” judiciary on display for all to see.

U.S. District Judge Max Cogburn, an Obama appointee who sits on the court for the Western District of North Carolina and U.S. District Judge Algenon Marbley, a Clinton appointee who sits on the court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Let's make these judges famous for cancelling retirement after Trump victory.

Judges above all should be as nearly apolitical as possible. From municipal courts to the US Supreme Court, all decisions should be based on the facts and the law. The law of the land is based on the Constitution which takes precedence in all cases.

Yeah he's weird that way. It's like his life mission is to get judges in there that are at LEAST conservative in name only.

Is bribing someone like these arseclowns a crime?
Check their bank accounts, especially the off-shore ones. See if they’ve received a large “deposit” recently from the communists.

Well, I couldn’t tell you what day it was, but we owe the existence of liberal women to Adam who should’ve interrupted, and called out the lies of the Serpent, but chose passivity, instead, abdicated his leadership mandate to Eve, and then doubled down on that by following her lead into error.

It’s the 4th grade boy mentality that watches NASCAR to see if they’ll wipe out.

I have NOT been that impressed with McConnell’s choices in judges, sorry he could do a whole lot better I am frankly VERY disappointed in ACB, and Kavanaugh the fight we endured for Kavanaugh was NOT worth that battle!!

Surprising that McConnell isn’t cancelling his own retirement for the exact same reason.
