When Syria was welcomed back into the Arab League in 2023, many thought that perhaps the worst of the violence that characterized the Syrian Civil War was finally behind them.
At the time, many analysts said Syria’s readmission to the Arab fold was a blow to Israel's goals for the region and would lead to increased Iranian activity in the country while limiting Israel’s ability to target weapons transfers to Hezbollah forces within Syrian territory.

I think in the short term at least it is good for Israel. Syria isn’t going to be able to live up to their promise to come back to Israel and crush them under the treads of their tanks.
I’ve said this elsewhere, but I think what Israel should do is stand back and watch Turkey and Iran fight it out through their proxies (which is what’s going on in Syria - Turkey is backing the ‘rebels’ and supplying them, Iran is reinforcing their puppets in the government) then consider jumping whoever wins if it looks like they might still be a threat.
WELL, AS LONG AS THEY ARE SHOOTING AT EACH OTHER RATHER THAN AT ISRAEL, IT’S A GOOD THING!...........
The enemy of my enemy is my friend..................
When two of your enemies are fighting, offer to hold their coats..............
No, the enemy of my enemy is my enemy’s enemy. Bit of a difference.
More to the point, the enemy of my enemy can be the beta tester for unproven systems that might be of use to me. :P
Turkey and Israel used to be friends, before Erdogan..........
Yup, but Erdogan is there now and there’s no good reason for Israel to trust him.
That’s probably the only benefit.
Erdogan is like the leftists her. When you think you can work with them they stab you like the snake taken in by the woman.
Turkey will be a big player in end time Biblical events. Many believe a revived Islamic Caliphate, similar to what existed in the past, will be used to help establish at least part of the global empire at the end of the age. Eventually, it will move against Israel. It’s obvious the chess pieces are being arranged. It’s fascinating and a little scary watching how it unfolds.
The U.S. needs to decided what it will do with Turkey as a NATO “ally.’ Turkey has, I think, the largest standing army of any NATO country. I don’t think we can do anything about its membership in NATO but we need to exert pressure where we can. Perhaps a Trump admin will do that. I’m not sure our shared air base at Incirlik is worth keeping. I don’t know if we still have nukes there. If they are, that’s a concern. We use to have several ‘listening’ outposts in remote areas in the country but technology has probably rendered them obsolete.
This is also forcing Russia to expend resources that they need for Ukraine. Russia wants no part of this.
Ezekiel 38 is coming
Turkey is House of Togarmah
