The second-biggest loser of the 2024 election is Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), who is being demoted from the powerful Majority Leader of the U.S. Senate to the largely powerless Minority Leader.
Schumer’s demotion to the minority status — which is shared by the other 46 Democrats — was smoothed by his support for President Joe Biden’s maximum-migration policy.

Actually it would not take much digging at all to get crying Chuck.
The seat is his until he achieves room temperature. But the truth is even in the minority leader role he still has his claws firmly planted in McConnell and his apprentice Thune. Chuck has always found a way to get everything he wants.
With the incoming "leadership", however, I predict "power sharing" (anyone else remember that term?) and all sorts of backroom deals none of which will be to our advantage.
I hope I'm dead wrong on this.
Chuckles needs to go along with Dick Turban. The problem is, the Dems will continue to act like they are the majority, and at least 5 Republicans will go along with that canard.

Unfortunately, I'm with you 100% on this.
We've seen what a R majority in the House can do to neuter itself. Earlier in the year, it was suggested that Hakeem Jeffries was virtually controlling things, despite Mike Johnson actually being the Majority Leader.
Senator Scumbag almost single-handedly made politics the “us or them” we see now. He helped drive the House leftward as a congressman. He did same thing in Senate. He is evil, nasty, and venomous. He HATES the America I love.
He will only leave the Senate after assuming room temperature.
Actually, Schumer didn't really win by that much in 2022 (56-42). He got his votes by mostly running up NYC, Westchester, and Albany.
As a matter of fact, he lost around 14% of the voters he had in 2016, where he got 70% of the vote. Check out the NYS county map for the final votes between 2016 and 2022, and you see the rightward shift away from Chuckie Cheese.
It’s a sure bet bookie notes.
