In August 2021, Byrd publicly identified himself and discussed the incident, expressing that he believed his actions saved lives that day.
In August 2023, Byrd was promoted to the rank of captain within the U.S. Capitol Police, recognizing his service and actions during the January 6 events.
Michael thinks he saved “countless” lives that day by killing young Ashli.

Well, it seems that Byrd is back in the crosshairs, and this time, he won’t have the Biden regime’s DOJ to protect him.
Investigative reporter Paul Sperry shared an update on X, revealing that House Oversight investigators have set a deadline of December 12th for Capitol Police to hand over three years’ worth of electronic correspondence from Michael Byrd.

While this is certainly hopeful, and we all want to see justice for Ashli, it’s understandable that people are skeptical. After all, the GOP doesn’t exactly have a stellar track record as righteous warriors. Here’s what some folks are saying online:

“And they’ll ignore it and nothing further will happen.”

The frustration is absolutely warranted—the GOP has done nothing to earn a reputation as “fighters.” However, there’s one silver lining in all of this: President Trump’s victory. He’s been a compassionate and vocal supporter of the Babbitt family, and with his attorney general pick—hopefully Pam Bondi—there’s real hope that justice will finally be served for Ashli.

Many presidential pardons have been issued where no charges have been filed.
This guy is a MONSTER. He should be hauled up to a House and Senate panel, grilled and then referred to the DOJ for prosecution of murder.
Ford pardoned Nixon, even though Nixon had not been charged or convicted.

There will be no fitting justice for Ashlei. The killing occurred in the District. The killer is a black man. Ashlei was a white woman who was a Trump supporter. No District jury will vote unanimously to convict.
Perhaps losing his job and his pension might be the most justice to expect.
Whatever happened to change of venue? Put him on trial somewhere in flyover country.
Put the bird in a cage with the ones locked up in dc on fake insurrection charges.
