Unidentified drones spotted over three US Air Force bases in Britain

Unidentified drones have been spotted flying over three bases used by the United States Air Force in Britain, the two countries have confirmed.

The objects were seen between Wednesday and Saturday flying over the Royal Air Force’s Lakenheath, Mildenhall and Feltwell bases, all used by the US Air Force (USAF).

“The number of (unmanned aircraft systems) fluctuated and they ranged in size/configuration,” a spokesperson for the US Air Forces in Europe said in a statement.

The three bases are located within a few miles of each other in eastern England. Since 1992, Mildenhall has been home to the only permanent American wing in Europe that conducts air refueling operations, while Lakenheath houses the USAF’s 48th Fighter Wing, which has played a role in post-9/11 operations in Afghanistan and Iraq.

You would think that the Air Force would have had the foresight to develop counter -drone drones by now. Something that could be quickly launched and vectored towards the invading drones. The days of relying on squadrons of manned aircraft alone for defense is quickly coming to an end.

I’ve been to Lakenheath and Mildenhall many times. Pretty area. I always have a pint or two at the Bird in Hand.

I don’t think they are drones.

They’re UAP/UFOs.

Something is going to happen.

We have such a thing. It causes the drones to shut down.

“Spotted”? Not “shot down”?

There is something very odd about this phenomena when the obvious would be to shoot the invaders down rather than talk just talk about it. Are they afraid of starting an inter-galactic war or having to bring the ET coverup out in the open. Obviously, officials have a national security issue of grave importance on their hands and this is very weird behavior on their part.

Exactly. Then the unidentified drones can be identified.

Well fair is fair, the US has a long history of surveillance and spying over territory around the world. From spy sats, U2 and SR-71 overflights and we in essence started the modern drone race with Raptor and Reaper drones.

We should be in the middle of anti-drone R&D and increasing our use of drones and NOT continuing to buy multi-million per unit fighters which will become increasing vulnerable to $1K drones.

The US doesn’t have any allies in Western Europe.

But our Deep State has plenty...

Spent some time in the 70s realigning and tuning up the MW links between Lakenheath and Mildenhall. They’re really close together.

I’m sure we can identify one by picking through the wreckage.

And if we’re worried about pissing off the drone’s owners by blowing up their toys, then we deserve whatever we’re getting. Grow a pair and shoot one down.

And we are not shooting them down because??? Because we no longer defend those bases? Because we are incapable of shooting down drones? Or because of stupid “rules of engagement the politicians and their military stooges have agreed to” that prevent taking action against the drones.

I want to know what happens when they fly them over area 51. Granted that’s WAYYY out in the middle of nowhere, but if they don’t shoot them down THEN, then we know something’s going on.

Or maybe the white house, capitol, or pentagon.

“Something is going to happen”

I’m not sure of the details from CNN, but if as you say these are UFOs or UAPs or UAS’s or whatever unassuming name Governments want to use now to hide their importance, then it is a very bad sign for the USA and the world.

Lately reports haven’t hesitated to use the term “orbs” We heard that multiple times during the congressional testimony.

Also I would be very interested to learn if that during (not after) World War 2 if the “foo fighters” only showed up on the field of battle or did they also appear stateside at any of our military bases? They are seeking authority to act and are getting closer to having it.

Though nothing has been reported on this subject, there may have been efforts to shoot down or otherwise get possession of one of the recent drones (whether at Lakenheath or Langley AFB in Norfolk in Dec 2023) and the military (including the RAF) simply didn't report this to the public.

It's also funny that they keep calling these unidentified objects "drones" when they are as big as 20ft in length (in the case of Langley) and large enough and fast enought to scramble jets to intercept them (in the case of Lakenheath).
