Oregon Governor Tina Kotek (D) has announced that the state has supposedly stockpiled enough of the drug mifepristone — the first drug in the two-drug abortion pill regimen — to kill babies for the next four years of Donald Trump’s presidency.
An announcement published on the governor’s website on Monday said “[T]he Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) have executed an updated agreement to continue operating the distribution of the state’s emergency Mifepristone supply into the future.”
In April of 2023, Kotek had told OHA to partner with OHSU to secure a three-year supply of the drug, which kills preborn children by blocking the naturally occurring pregnancy hormone progesterone, causing the baby to be deprived of nutrients. The previous supply that was secured has an expiration date of September 2025. The new supply will not expire until September 2028.

“I believe in reproductive freedom and am committed to being a fierce advocate for every person’s access to safe reproductive health care services, no matter the national landscape,” Kotek said. “Oregon is not immune from federal attacks on our reproductive rights. In our state, patients will continue to access the medication they need and providers will deliver these critical services without fear or harassment.”
Also in 2023, Kotek signed House Bill 2002, the Reproductive Health & Access to Care Bill, into law. The law eliminated parental consent for abortions on minors, enacted protections for abortionists, and reiterated that abortion must be covered by Medicaid and other insurance companies.
Oregon Right to Life Executive Director Lois Anderson noted in an email to Live Action News, “Kotek’s rhetoric and actions obscure the fact that mifepristone is dangerous for women and deadly for the unborn. The Oregon government should be informing women about these risks instead of stockpiling the drugs and ginning up anxiety.” Anderson added, “For our part, Oregon Right to Life will continue to raise awareness about the reality of chemical abortion and ensure that pregnant women are connected with real, life-affirming resources, including Abortion Pill Reversal treatment for women who regret taking mifepristone and want to save the precious life they carry.”
The abortion pill has been found to be four times more dangerous for women than a first-trimester surgical abortion with known risks including incomplete abortion and infection. As previously reported by Live Action News, peer-reviewed studies have found that women are at risk of severe side effects after taking the abortion pill, including hemorrhage, sepsis, and death. Mifepristone carries a black box warning for potential side effects, including sepsis. Studies have shown that six percent of participants who took the abortion pill required care at an emergency room or urgent care facility.

The abortion pills should also come with free Trojans to prevent future, unplanned pregnancies, as well as the control of those pesky Sexually Transmitted Diseases (S.T.D.’s).

To call it “reproductive freedom”, for example, making it sound deceptively noble. Or “reproductive health”, making it sound like the exact opposite of what it is. Is this to fool us, or themselves?
What about the second drug? Or is that one more readily available because of other uses? Baal-worship in the 21st century.

I used to watch that show with Chef Gordon Ramsay and I remember when he was in the kitchen and there was food he did not approve of or was spoiled he would say “86 it”. I always wondered what that meant or where that came from.
