'We would like to thank our colleagues who had the courage to speak up to widen our lens of inclusivity'
A Minnesota hospital issued a profuse apology to staff after failing to abide by its “values of respect and justice” — by giving out free Chick-fil-A.
Essentia Health in Duluth wrote to staff last Tuesday after staff clucked about the free sandwiches available in the St. Mary’s Medical Center’s atrium earlier that day.
“We have received feedback from some colleagues who were concerned or offended by this occurrence, and we value colleagues feeling comfortable expressing their reservations,” Tammy Kritzer, senior vice president for regional operations at Essentia Health wrote in an email to medical staff that was obtained by The Daily Wire.
“We would like to thank our colleagues who had the courage to speak up to widen our lens of inclusivity, and we appreciate all colleagues continuing to live our values of respect and justice,” Kritzer wrote.
Chick-fil-A has drawn the ire of LGBT activists over the years, who have boycotted and staged protests over the company donating to groups like the Salvation Army, which activists claim has “a record of anti-LGBTQ discrimination.” In fact, the company emphasizes that it “values diversity, equity and inclusion” and does not discriminate or tolerate harassment on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.
“In the words of Maya Angelou, when we know better, we do better,” the email concluded. “Thank you for giving us grace, as we work to be better, together,” the email read.
Some cities have prevented Chick-fil-A from opening locations at their airports, including Buffalo, New York, and San Antonio, Texas. The chain famously does not open on Sundays to honor the Lord’s Day, Chick-fil-A’s founder explained, likely causing it to lose more than $1 billion a year.
While Essentia staff squawked about the free lunch, they have been silent about some of their employer’s other decisions. The hospital, which did not respond to a request for comment, provides cross-sex hormones and more to minors. According to the Stop The Harm database, Essentia has performed at least five sex change operations on minors.
It figures this butcher shop takes, ahem, PRIDE in turning children into frozen vegetables.
Anyone who gets their panties in a wad (poor choice of words when dealing with woketards) over the "wrong" food shouldn't be allowed to so much as change bedpans let alone work in the medical field
Ah, yes. Tp be more inclusive Chic-Fil-A MUST be excluded!
Absolutely ridiculous. Besides, Chick-fil-A surrendered on this issue years ago and went woke, what’s the point?
>>>’We would like to thank our colleagues who had the courage to speak up to widen our lens of inclusivity’<<<<
By being EXCLUSIVE..................
Imagine being offended by a chicken sandwich. How shallow.
LOL I didn’t think of that :)
It’s IMPOSSIBLE to completely avoid products made by people you disagree wwith...and to an extent...a little silly.
And the left DOES NOT.
Chic-Fil-A has lines going to Pluto in Manhattah...I know leftists that love it.
When a brand is outwardly hostile to our side...I do try to avvoid it...like when Budweiser supported TGs and gay marriage during NFL commercials.
Other than that, if they are known leftists but keep their mouths shut (the owners or CEOs) I will buy the product.
I read this, and only one word comes to mind, “PATHETIC”!
How many of the whiny little bitches have contracted monkeypox?
Such an easy solution. No more free anything. Problem solved.
Imagine being offended by a chicken sandwich. How shallow.

Haters gonna hate.
These are not happy-go-lucky people.
.. You KNOW.. that they took and ate the FREE Chick-Fil-A.
And after they ate it, they complained.
They could not have just said, “no thanks. I don’t want t a free chicken sandwich.”
From The church of the perpetually offended.
I agree. If your business has any virtue signalling bullshit sign in the window, I will not spend my $$ there.
I don’t ask- but if you tell, that’s on you.
I occasionally drive through Duluth on my way to my family home in northern Minnesota. I sincerely hope I don’t fall ill there and require hospitalization. That might make the illness worse.
That’s my first thought.
Which is a perfect example of the insanity of dei
Afraid of a chicken sandwich? This must be a mental hospital, where it’s hard to tell the employees from the patients.
Haha, they thought they were getting backlash before. Someone better tell their PR team to buckle up...they haven’t seen anything yet.
Just like, if someone served bud light at an event, I may or may not have partaken, depending on whether there were other offerings and other variables. Aside from the fact that I didn’t much care for bud light to begin with, I am able to boycott something out of principle rather than rage. But to your point, it’s my decision whether or not participate in the product/brand. What I would not do is complain to someone who has provided something. That’s not just rude, it is narcissistic. Complaining to someone who has offered things to people makes you a self-important hater.
My daughter was almost transferred from here (FL) to Duluth, which would have meant my moving to there. I thanked God when they promoted her in her present location instead because of the weather, but this is a second reason, since I would have to boycott the hospital.
The employees who complained about free food should be sent for a mental evaluation - along with the hospital staff member who wrote that apology. Christians need to start complaining about being offended by having to be confronted by the LQBTalphabet crap at their workplace.
A friend of mine’s brother is gay and I was going to bring her lunch when she was working. I mentioned Chick Fil A and she said no because they are anti-gay. I picked it up anyway and put a G and a Y on the bag so it said Chick Fil GaY and gave it to her.
Whatever. Jesus Chicken ain’t never hurt nobody.
