Beijing, China - China called for Russia to exercise "calm" and "restraint" after President Putin threatened to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine.

Beijing weighed in on Wednesday, urging "calm" and "restraint" during foreign ministry spokesperson Lin Jian's regular press conference. China also vowed to play a "constructive role" in ending the conflict.
"Under the current situation, all relevant parties need to remain calm and restrained and jointly seek deescalation and lower strategic risks through dialogue and consultation," spokesperson Lin said.

Time to starve Chinese Communist Party to death.
Tariffs to the left of me, tariffs to the right of me, tariffs on all goods moving through Chicom ports around the world.
Great. The Bidet regime is so bad and AWOL from diplomacy, it makes Xi look like the responsible adult scolding his rowdy kids.
Despite the gaslighting, Russia hasn’t threatened that, beyond simply pointing out that US and British attacks, inside Russia, especially against nuclear bases is making nuclear responses closer.
That really is no different than our own position. If a future Russia or China was hitting Barksdale AFB or DC with missiles or drones, sank several of our ships at Norfolk, and had already blown up a 25 billion dollar pipeline of ours, we would have nukes on the table already.
This is China playing chess. I think it’s a little optimistic to think they are trying to do favors for Trump.
They also told NATO no NATO weapons to be used on Russia.
Maybe they got a quiet phone call from President Trump who gently explained the consequences of their supporting the current insanity, insanity that’s being engaged in by the Russians and by NATO, particularly including the US.
They’re duplicitous and do not say what they mean or do.
Currently they are manufacturing and supplying attack drones to Russia.
Even Xi thinks Putin is coming across like a little pansy who saw a mouse.
That’s sad.
Such an irony.
Putin has been harping on nuclear war since before he invaded, it drove Trump crazy and Trump said we should send nuke subs to get Putin to shut up with his nuclear war threats.
The Chicoms love to stick the word “relevant” into their announcements. Makes them all look fishy.
He’s been telling us that we need to stop and think before conducting attacks inside Russia or directly engaging Russian forces because THAT could light off the nuclear confrontation. It should be obvious to all but an idiot that such is not a nuclear threat.
It is literally the same policy we have. Putin had to remind the idiots in DC and London.
But yes, if Russians directly attacked US forces, or conducted strikes inside the USA, with the stated goal of collapsing the US government... they would be lucky to get a reminder before we nuked them.
That’s why it was/is better to have secular dictators in charge of muslim countries.
They enjoy the material life and don’t want to die or lose everything.
Extreme muslim radicals....not so much.
Good cop, bad cop routine.
Like I said, yelling the nuclear threats until he just made Trump sick of it and saying we should send the nuke subs to get him to shut up with constantly using the “n word”.
TRUMP-”But if we didn’t have it we couldn’t talk but I listened to him constantly using the n word , that’s the n word, and he’s constantly using it. The nuclear word, and we never talk, we say oh, he’s a nuclear power, but we’re a greater nuclear power.”
(snip)
“You should say look , if you mention that word, one more time, we’re going to send them over and we’ll be coasting back and forth up and down your coast.”
I really wish people would get their stories straight.
Agree. But not for long.
Jurnalism is dead. No knead for editurs it seams.
That is why will end the war by cutting funding off for it.
Exactly. You got that right about secular dictators in moslem majority countries. Gaza, Egypt after the coup are both good examples of what happens when moslems run their own affairs.
