Democratic officials in Pennsylvania are finally saying out it loud: Election denial is an unconscionable, existential threat to democracy — unless a Republican wins, in which case it’s fine to ignore the law to overturn it.
Commissioners in four Pennsylvania counties have been counting ballots disqualified by the state’s top court in a bid to overturn the results in the Senate race between Democratic Sen. Bob Casey and GOP challenger Dave McCormick.

One of the commissioners said she knew she was breaking the law. Sounds good to me. She confessed, so arrest her! And when the PA Supreme Court finally nullifies Casey’s attempt to overturn the vote, the court should cite that commissioner’s confession.
Ads? Come on! They wouldn’t be doing it if there’s no punishment involved. So what will the gop do? It will have to come out of DC where they might not have any jurisdiction. Waiting for another election will are as effective as a cease and desist ruling.
South Africa, Taiwan, France, Russia, Mozambique, among others - all conducted national elections this year
They all closed voter rolls before election, allowed no mail-in ballots, required ID when voting - and they all managed to count all votes and report results before midnight the same day.
Somehow, we can’t do that in the USA

To be fair, it’s not Casey but Casey’s handlers. Casey is/was certainly the dumbest man in the Senate. If you ever heard him talk you’d see what I mean. He always sounds like he just woke up in unfamiliar surroundings.
Casey owes his position solely to his family name - his father was a popular governor.
If the recount shows Casey still lost, no one need tell him that. Just give him a toy computer and say he can work from home.

So, we have California and Pennsylvania still counting votes two weeks after Election Day, all according to the rules those two states have made.
The only positive I see is that if logic is followed, the stupid idea of ‘national popular vote’ to decide the Presidential election will be seen to be fatally flawed by the fact that it takes California weeks or perhaps months to get a final tally.
Agreed. Rats break the laws all the time, but Republicans lack the political will to enforce. Katie Hobb’s recent announcement breaks federal law. She could easily be arrested right now.
the court said “NO, DON’T...STOP!”. the democrats said “we are doing it anyway”. isn’t there a word for when a woman tells a man “NO, DON’T...STOP!” and he does it anyway?
Their intent is obvious - keep counting the votes until the Democrat wins.
Even if you have to fake it to make it.
Obviously flawed ballots submitted are still invalid. Either too late, or not submitted with a postmark at all, or with various verifications missing, as signature or verification of registered address.

The DEMs have shaved another 1,000 or so votes off of McCormick’s lead today, now down to 16,343 votes.
