At least eight people were murdered and 17 injured in a stabbing incident today (Saturday) on a campus in eastern China.
Local police said, "Around 6:30 p.m. on November 16, 2024, a stabbing incident that resulted in casualties occurred at Wuxi Vocational Institute of Arts and Technology in Yixing city, causing 8 deaths and injuring another 17, The suspect was apprehended on the scene."
Police further stated that the culprit was a graduate of the college, and his motive was failure in studies and frustration...

We need sensible knife control. And this should include all pointed things. We must do it for the children.

Fortunately this was China so nobody being attacked had a gun. If someone present had had a gun, someone might have gotten shot, which, of course, is an objectively bad thing. So at least we can be thankful that none of the victims were armed.

You can be assured that there will not be years of waiting and appeals related to this case. Unlike our system of ad infinitum appeals and life sentences for heinous crimes, there will be prompt prosecution and when found guilty, the murderer will be promptly executed.
