A WSJ article alleging Elon held “regular conversations” with Putin is now driving a Senate investigation—but where’s the accountability for WSJ’s reporting?

Despite relying solely on unnamed “current and former officials,” the piece quickly sparked backlash, with both Elon and the Kremlin slamming it as “absolutely false.”

Now, Senators Jeanne Shaheen and Jack Reed are calling for a probe based on these unverified claims—so why isn’t WSJ facing scrutiny for publishing such an explosive story on shaky grounds?

Using media as evidence is a real problem and should immediately be dismissed as just hearsay and should not be allowed as factual evidence. Follow up investigation should be required to prove any allegations.

I think what Trump nominated Elon for is not an appointment that needs the advise & consent of the Senate. From my understanding, there are 4,000 positions for appointment. 1,000 of them need the consent of the Senate, 3,000 do not.

Absolutely. Just like civil legal cases. Compensation for the time, trouble, an hardships they put you through. Just defamation from being accused alone can be a huge deal.

Oh, that is coming. A simple trip before the new congress with a single question. “Where are your facts?” And if the Journolista says it’s from a source, then ask, “Who is the source?” If the useful idiot says it’s an anonymous source, ask who corroborated the story.

Do this with every media outlet and if they cannot produce the truth, recommend that either the media places a (Liberal or Conservative) tag on the story or in the upcoming constitutional convention that I predict will happen, remove freedom of the press.
