A scandal of potentially titanic proportions is brewing at the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Last week, FEMA administrator Deanne Criswell fired Marn’i Washington, the official accused of discriminating against Donald Trump-supporting hurricane victims in Florida, casting her as a lone wolf, a bad apple in an orchard full of good ones.
Not so fast.
On Tuesday, Washington — and another ex-FEMA employee who spoke with The Post — disputed the relatively rosy picture painted by Criswell.
According to the recently disgraced Washington, “FEMA preaches avoidance” from potentially contentious situations.
And, supposedly, Trump supporters are disproportionately responsible for fomenting such situations.
Washington said her team had encountered “political hostility” from those in homes with “Trump campaign signage,” but nevertheless insisted that agency guidance is — and her own determination was — about safety, not political targeting.
Another former FEMA employee also told The Post that the processes that led to Washington’s discriminatory action are systemic — and that the bias against Trump supporters dated back years, sometimes justified as part of an effort to serve “marginalized” communities first.
You can cite any empirical or philosophical reason that you want to justify this allegedly pervasive practice, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s not just negligent or wrong — it’s evil.

When the batteries are out of power-—HOW were they supposed to RECHARGE THEM??? NO AVAILABLE power.
I have a portable DeWalt DRILL. USED it ALOT when building my fences. Had to have 4 batteries to rotate. BUT I DID have POWER TO DO THAT.
How expensive were those battery powered Caterpillar chain saws??? How powerful for serious tree cutting & removal??
I also own a STIHL CHAIN saw. Used it to clean up dead/ dying/ crippled/overgrown trees & brush on 5 acres. 1993-—1996. TOOK 3 years of constant work by myself. Had enough firewood for 7.5 years for my LOPI wood stove that heated 2553 SQ ft. Slash pile was fired off by Calif state fire crew-—they used it for a training exercise. USED UP 7 CHAINS—Have them as “TROPHIES”. Am on GALLON #13 of chain oil.
I only had overgrown & unwanted trees.
I DID NOT have the damages N Carolina had from the hurricane.
FEMA is beyond stupid
I would NOT let this woman supervise filling my horse water tanks when needed.
FEMA has been poisoned by DEI. It is quite believable that Trump supporters were passed over as FEMA staff looked for Kamala signs. Unfortunately for FEMA’s DEI bureaucrats their timing is real bad. There’s no one around who will protect them from the massacre that’s coming.
I hope that there is a list of places skipped...who skipped it and what happened to the people. What evil people these Dem sheep are.

Wasn’t just in Florida, it also happened in North Carolina. What they didn’t do, and how they deliberately ignored helping people cost many lives.
Truth is they obstructed and did all they could to cause problems for survivors and the locals who actually did help.
Jail time needed for FEMA.
That is around 450 employees per state.
Some state police agencies are about that size.
I do not think we are getting our money worth out of FEMA

You are exactly right. It is the culture. Yiu would have a hard time finding a Trump supporter anywhere in the Fed Gov. Started with Obama and Biden sealed the deal when he fired all Trump admin and ordered all agencies to reject anyone who had worked for or supported Trump from being hired for and govt job and even worse sent the word out to private companies and NGOs to not hire anyone who had worked for and/or supported Trump.

Abolish FEMA.
Devolve responsibility back to the states.
Congress can write checks for financial assistance.
The DoD can deliver military assistance if required.

This is how you get rid of the Civil Service employees. Fire or Charge with violating citizens 14th Amendment violation. It’s their choice and no retirement benefits, get them to sign that away since they would not need retirement in prison! So why not remove if you fire them. It’s called leverage!
