Mahmoud Abbas will be 89 years old in five days.

He is not openly hateful to the USA.

He shows occasional moderation in regard to Israel, but I suspect he quietly supports the total destruction of Israel.

It is not clear who will replace Abbas when he is eventually forced out of office by poor health or death.

I only mentioned it because it was being pushed by Trump’s son-in-law’s father. If the man is doing it as a result of conversations with Trump, what would be Trump’s reasoning?
