Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar met with Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof at his residence, as he concluded his visit to the Netherlands undertaken following the violent attacks on Israeli soccer fans on Thursday.
In their meeting, Prime Minister Schoof described the recent attacks on Israelis in Amsterdam as a "turning point,” and expressed his commitment to bringing the perpetrators to justice.
The two agreed on the importance and urgency of combatting rising antisemitism, and spoke about ways to advance cooperation on the issue.
Prime Minister Schoof noted that he had cancelled his participation in the COP Climate Summit in Baku, in order to remain in the Netherlands due to the serious incidents in Amsterdam. He presented in the meeting the discussions scheduled to take place in the coming week on this matter in the Dutch parliament and in other forums.

Same here. More than the Brandon Admin ever did, though. They can’t even issue a pro forma condemnation, without a bunch of extraneous matter thrown in to obfuscate.

Better late than never. The King of Holland was pretty nice in a novel by Leon Uris, though. And that business partner did shelter the Frank family for a long time. Mary Mapes Dodge made a nice Young Adult novel about Holland, too.
I read an article early this morning, here I think, by someone native to Amsterdam.
He said he was constantly pointed out by classmates as a Jew growing up, and there has to be security at their Synagogue. It has those heavy doors for a reason.
He also moved away for a reason. He said that this kind of thing has grown common, just not as large of a scale, and that one has to be extremely brave to make clear you’re Jewish. It’s just inviting trouble.
I don’t think much will change.
Schoof and Wilder sound like they’re going to shake up the Amsterdam police’s feckless attitude. We’ll see what they do.

They are WARNING EUROPE. It is up to their people, THEIR VOTERS, to heed those warnings and stop listening to their leaders.
Time is short (they already waited too long), and it’s going to be bloody if they do act, but they’ll be facing genocide if they don’t act.

There is no antisemitism there….
And in France, they would not have been able to hold out as long as they did in Holland. All of Europe has this disease, sometimes in remission, sometimes full blown. But contrary to historical myth, so does Arabia. Japan tried to contract it to please their German allies, but it didn’t take. The most that they did was to ghettoize the Shanghai Jewish community during their occupation.
Eighty-six years ago this very night mobs of mostly plain close SA and SS thugs went on an anti-Semitic rampage in Germany the likes of which not seen in Europe since the late Middle Ages.
The world did nothing then.
It’s doing nothing now.
I'd alter that statement just a bit...to read "no place in a civilized society".
Considering she was a naturalist, as was her husband, who was poorly endowed, perhaps she was hoping that one would enter her. Bad basis for public policy. But stranger things can and do happen.
