Lara Trump Plays the Winning Hand
American Thinker ^ | Robyn Dolgin

Donald Trump needed to “win big.” So he needed to listen to his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, according to the Wall Street Journal.

She took on the thankless job of outmaneuvering the dirty tricks of her opponents in her new role as co-chairman of the Republican National Committee. “We don’t have one day of voting, we don’t have paper ballots, we don’t have voter ID everywhere,” she said pointing out the reality of winning on a new playing field. “We have to play the hand we’re dealt.”

Her strategy was also personal. She advised her father-in-law -- who spent four years criticizing early and absentee voting -- that his embittered observations weren’t going to pull off a red wave. (This, of course, turned into a national tsunami.)

The new strategy mirrored the tactics of Democrats in getting out the early vote. She also adopted the talent of her father-in-law delivering colorful sound bites: “We’ve been playing checkers, and the Democrats have been playing chess,” she said.

The game was on: That meant upending the former master plan of the RNC and amassing hundreds of thousands of volunteers to catch-up and launch initiatives for early and absentee voting, while imitating the well-worn strategy (for Democrats) to facilitate “legal ballot harvesting.” This enables a third parties to collect and summit ballots for another voter.

President Trump became a convert to the new plan of action, and stopped grumbling about mail-in fraud: All things considered, he put his stamp of approval on the RNC’s massive network corralling thousands of conservative groups in the campaign called “Bank Your Vote,” a national early voting initiative.

He allocated huge sums of the GOP budget adopting the attitude of “if you can’t beat them…”

This meme started making the rounds in May 2023:

It was spot-on. Ht Travis. I’m glad Ronna McDaniel is gone.

I remember when she had contemplated running for the US Senate in 2020. That was a bad idea that would have been purely running on her FIL’s name.

But this? Having rolled up her sleeves and gone into an epicenter of the uniparty? Kudos to her. I’d be all for a political run for her in 2026 if that’s what’s calling to her. She’s earned her stripes.

About time we got someone with the balls to counter the Dems tactics ... of course it was a Trump ... and Lara did more than Ronna McDaniel, Reince Priebus, Michael Steel and every other RNC Chairman combined to modernize our election strategy.

They did a great job. Hopefully they’re still all over those slow-counting western states that seem to want to pull a fast one.

I believe Ronna McDaniel is a fundamental reason why there was no red wave in 2022. McDaniel, along with Lindsey, “We’re going to pass a national abortion ban” Graham totally tanked Republicans.

I’ve seen Rubio’s name bandied about as a Trump cabinet possibility. If that happens Lara Trump would be a potential replacement for Governor DeSantis to name.

“’d be all for a political run for her in 2026 if that’s what’s calling to her.”

I’ve seen it written that, of all the Trumps, she’d be the best to carry on to POTUS — even though she’s not “blood”. Still ... no more dynasties, so it’s a moot point.

J. D. Vance will be the next Republican Presidential candidate. He is the best man to come along in decades

I’m not sure Lara and Eric are residents of FL. Don’t they live at the winery in VA or NC? Of course, RATs have become Senators in states where they don’t live, e.g., Hillary and RFK. Both quickly moved to NY when they had their eyes on the US Senate.

Of course; no question about that (so far).

Little Marco would be a neocon puppet at State, which is what I have seen mentioned.

Let’s hope that doesn’t come to pass.

Maybe if dog catcher has now reached cabinet status...

RFK was from NY and had kept a house that he had not lived in there. Yes, he tried to pull a fast one with declaring it his residence.

Agreed on Vance.

His three hours on Rogan sold me.

That was stunning—the guy is both brilliant and charming—has total command of all critical issues and articulates them with great insights.

I learned a lot about a wide variety of issues during the interview—and I consider myself a policy wonk.

Best part—he totally gets it—all of it.

Both statements are absolutely true. Also, with Vance you get what you see… he does not have a duplicitous bone in his body. I’m so glad he’s going to be Vice President.

Perhaps, there is an even better part...... Hillbilly Elegy

It is both a book and a movie. It was the movie that convinced me that Vance is in fact the 21st century Abraham Lincoln. The Movie is on Net Flix and I’m sure other streaming sources. I continue to be impressed with just him. He is real.

Watch it.

Might explain what’s going on with Ivanka. Amazing that sometimes your own blood won’t stand up for you.
