The European Green Party on Friday called for Jill Stein, the 2024 presidential candidate of the U.S. Green Party, to withdraw from the race...writing that the election is “too close for comfort.”
“On 5 November 2024, the world will be watching to see whether Americans choose Kamala Harris or Donald Trump to be their next president,” the European party, also known as the European Greens, wrote. “Ahead of these pivotal elections, European Greens have called upon US Green Party candidate Jill Stein to withdraw her Presidential candidacy, and endorse Kamala Harris.”
Harris is the only candidate who can block former President Donald Trump and his “anti-democratic,” authoritarian policies from the White House, according to the European Greens. The party pointed to his relationships with Russian, Hungarian and Brazilian leaders.
“Like other ultra-conservative politicians across the globe with whom he has close relationships, such as Vladimir Putin, Viktor Orbán, and Jair Bolsonaro, he would undermine democracy,” the release reads.
The European Greens said “democratic institutions” are necessary for climate policies, one of the party’s main concerns. A "climate crisis,” along with conflicts in the Middle East, require Harris to serve as president, according to the party...
A poll conducted last week by The New York Times and the Siena College Research Institute found that 2% of voters said they would cast a ballot for Stein.
The European Greens' support for Harris follows the British Labour Party sharing plans to send current and former staffers to U.S. swing states to campaign for the vice president. The Trump campaign later filed a Federal Election Commission complaint accusing the Harris team of violating federal law by welcoming the members.
A spokesperson for the Stein campaign indicated to The National News Desk (TNND) on Friday the team has no plans to end its efforts.

In an election with nearly every swing state poll shifting between tied, still a dead heat, within the margin of error or "part of one percent" or 1-2 %, as the leads for the shifting Harris and Trump sides.

Funny thought. Jill Stein would have endorsed Harris but she heard Harris grew up in a middle class home and she absolutely cannot stand people who did that. 😁

In 2000 it could be argued that Ralph Nader cost algore the Presidency.If every vote that Nader got in New Hampshire had gone to him he would have carries NH and,thus,would have won the election.

They’ve got that 100% wrong. Stein should drop out and ENDORSE TRUMP, citing that Bobby Kennedy’s presence in the administration would be positive for the environment.
Europe is dying. The greenies have successfully destroyed the continent with selfishness and fear of destroying the planet.
The international left really resembles a system of communicating vessels in physics. One side always influences the other.
Thus, I don’t think either side is a puppet of the other, but they are definitely partners in crime. As has been implied by several other posters on this thread…🙁
1. ~50% of the votes have already been cast because of early and mail-in voting.
2. Her name would, of course, still be on the ballot and all but the most diehard Stein supporter already knows she won't win so a vote for her is just a "protest" against the democrats anyway. A protest vote that would go on whether she drops out or not.
