The Republican brand is benefitting from a late surge on the generic congressional ballot. The GOP had been behind all summer, sometimes by as much as two points. Ten days ago, however, the Republican Party began to climb in the RealClearPolitics average poll of generic ballot polls. Today, the GOP leads by nearly a full point, 47.6 to 46.7 percent.
This is no fluke, meaning it is not based on one outlier poll that can skew the entire field. Of the seven most recent polls, Republicans have led in five and two are tied. That shows real movement in the closing days of the campaign. The generic congressional ballot asks voters which party they would prefer in Congress. Although this is not always the case (see the red wave that wasn’t in 2022), the result of this poll generally conforms to which political party ends up winning the U.S. House of Representatives and doing well overall in that year’s election.

We absolutely have to win the house. If not, expect 2 years of impeachment hearings.
Just more push polls to dispirit patriots.
“..Keep going as if you are ten points down...”
^THIS^
Believe NOTHING in the media...nothing, nada.
Late surge??????
Bullshirt!
Just finally having to report the truth so they don’t look so bad on election day.
Going back to mine posts of TDS'ers, and offer them a plate.

Seems like all recent Republican “surges” are measured in tenths of a percent less than 1%. Whatever.
I thought I would ping you on this thread
Republicans in the House combined to win the popular vote in 2022 by 2 or 3 million.
I have no views on national Congressional races—they are determined district by district and require a lot of data.
I confess—I am too lazy to go digging through dozens of congressional districts trying to figure out what is happening.
If someone else wants to dig through the early voting data and compare it to congressional districts they can go for it.
(Btw in the past few days I have been accused of everything from reckless optimism to a recent note that threatened to have me banned for “black-pilling”. FR is a tough neighborhood!)
Sorry about that. I love your number crunching
I am amused by it—I spent a lot of times in tough neighborhoods in my youth—got the crap beaten out of me by bullies twice my size. I have a very thick skin.
Hopefully one of the folks around here will do the digging on Congressional races.
I am sure the data would tell us a lot.
Keep up the great job
Keep up the good work
