Donald Trump opens three-point lead over Kamala Harris in final Daily Mail poll before Election Day

Donald Trump has overtaken Kamala Harris in the final DailyMail.com/J.L. Partners national poll before Election Day, with the former president holding a three-point lead over the vice president.

Both candidates have shored up their bases, but Trump has done better at picking up support from independents and undecided voters in the final push, according to the data.

The poll of 1,000 likely voters, which has margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percent, shows that Trump is trending up, with the support of 49 percent to Harris' 46 percent.

The race is still close. Yet, with five days to go, the numbers mean Trump is currently on course to become the first Republican candidate since George W. Bush in 2004 to win the popular vote.

The vice president held a one-point lead when the poll was last conducted in September.

Most other legitimate pollsters are reporting the same trend in the final days of the 2024 campaign.

I’m pretty blown away by so many people videoing themselves on X stating they’ve never voted before, but they went in, registered, and then voted for Trump. I am unconcerned about the polls, despite how good they appear, there is something in the air and you can feel it. There is a genuine, organic groundswell of support and excitement for Trump.

I know I’m supposed to vote early here in PA, but I refuse. I’m voting on Election Day come hell or high water, and I’m betting you all will be mighty glad some of us saved our ammo for the big day.

Wouldn’t it suck if we won the early voting but there were not enough Trump voters left for a strong Election Day turnout?

According to Pew Research, 48% of GOP voters are waiting until Nov 5 to vote. The Dems are somewhere in the 30%+ range (exact number I don't recall offhand, but it is much smaller than the R's).

There will not be a shortage of Trump voters showing up on Election Day. Let's hope the Dems don't sabotage the voting equipment in GOP heavy precincts like we have seen before.
