Over 75,000 people have gathered in Washington, D.C., to hear Vice President Kamala Harris' closing argument speech at the same site of former President Donald Trump's rally on January 6, 2021.
Harris' event at the Ellipse comes one week before Election Day, and follows Trump's closing arguments at Madison Square Garden on Sunday that received backlash for its inflammatory and racist rhetoric.
As the vice president took the stage Tuesday night, her campaigns' rapid response director, Ammar Moussa, posted to his X (formerly Twitter) account that "are OVER 75,000 people on the National Mall to watch Kamala Harris deliver her closing remarks

Watched the first 20 minutes of the speech and she seemed very nervous and despondent.

There are 689,545 people in the District of Columbia... 689,544 of them are Democrats... I’m just assuming that at least one of them is a Republican or Independent. Rounding up 75 thousand wouldn’t, or shouldn’t have been a problem.
