Swing-state Wisconsin’s same-day voter registration a wild card in election’s final week

WATERTOWN, Wis. — Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump aren’t leaving anything to chance in their final week of campaigning in Wisconsin, where historically close margins have decided four of the last six presidential elections.

As sky-high early-voter turnout continues throughout the state, the campaigns look to pad their margins in party strongholds and turn out undecided and low-propensity voters in key counties with targeted events and surrogates to win Wisconsin’s 10 electoral votes.

A look ahead at the week’s events indicates both camps will attempt to play to their strengths and mitigate their weaknesses in the final push.

Historic turnout in Dane County for Joe Biden in 2020 earned him a solid 52.8% of the vote there, and 35,000 more votes than Hillary Clinton in 2016. The president’s precedent there has made this county the focal point Kamala Harris’ get-out-the-vote effort this week, as the VP heads to University of Wisconsin-Madison Wednesday to make her pitch to college students in the deep-blue stronghold.

Vote fraud. It was massive there in 2020;

More votes than voters.

Same Day voter registration - another tool of fraud and confusion that nearly all other nations do not allow.

There's no way they can verify addresses and identities.

How does “same day” registration work? You have to simply affirm you’re a resident there?

Some. Out of state U Wisc students will likely register in WI, as this is a swing state. Illinois is in the bag, and Chicagoans are not shy about voting twice, so buses from Chicago to Milwaukee are likely.

The same day registration is the result of Bill Clinton's Motor Voter (his second bill once he got in). There were attempts at reform, but courts struck down some provisions, and weasels get around other ones. It is better than it was, buit there is more work to be done.

No concerns. Name me a demographic group that Kamala Harris is doing better with than Joe Biden. Jews? No. Muslims? No. Men? No. Young voters? No. Union voters? No. White working class voters? No. Republican voters? No. The abortion issue doesn’t seem to be translating into a vote-driver, either. And rural voters are saturating the polls across the country. The red wave took two years to get here, but it is here now.

Bus loads of people from Chicago will arrive at Wisconsin polling locations just before the polls close.

I do not believe in “same day” voter registration. If you are so lame and consider voting so unimportant all year, that you never register X days ahead of time, then you have a problem, not laws that don’t allow sAme day registration.

I would bet $$$$$ that students are voting in person at campus & absentee at parent’s residences.

They have for years—— and they are proud of doing so.

Wisconsin will be very difficult to win specially now that the Supreme Court worthless pieces of shit have ruled RFK will stay on the ballot in Wisconsin and Michigan. I cannot believe how hard we fought to defend those pieces of shit to get on the Supreme Court and they turn around and stab us right in the ass every time we need them the most. The more things come unraveling in this nation the more I’m beginning to despise our institutions to the core. They need to be abolished we need to start from the ground up. There’s no other way you cannot fix the mess or the cancer that’s afflicting this nation. We are too damn divided and even if Trump gets elected nothing is going to change. You’ll still have the DC swamp pieces of shit doing their usual thing of making American’s miserable and putting their boot on our necks. The only hope I have is if God relents from bringing his wrath upon this nation he’s the only one that can get us out of this fix!
