Are they suggesting that some sort of hill of water, perhaps 100 feet high, is going to park itself on the West Coast?

Another made up term (as opposed to wind currents) to fuel their climate nonsense.

Maybe true or not.
To be safe; you need to have your car taken away, pay more taxes, and have more government .
Just to be safe

What, the Pacific Ocean will only rise in. California? Pure idiocy as water always seems its own level. It is like claiming only one half of a glass of water will be wet.

Yeah - double it from what to what?
Sea Level is zero when measuring for up or higher or elevation or altitude...
To: Who is John Galt?
The Greatest band ever....Tool, wrote an uplifting little ditty about California falling into the ocean....and going through in detail why its is a good thing, because of how awful California is.
And this was in 1996.
The song is Ænima...and if bad language doesn’t offend you, its hilarious to listen to.
To: cuz1961
But only on the west coast of the US. No where else will be affected.

Yeah, I can’t see anything on the west coast worth saving. This is better than an urban renewal project.
We just need to put up a strong fence along the Nevada/California border and encourage the current CA residents to take boats to Mexico or Canada.

Does this mean that CA coastal real estate will get less expensive?
Lol.

"The implications are that in a warmer world, ARs could contribute to local and temporary flooding along the coast to a much higher degree than what occurs now. City and state resource managers, operations, etc., need to plan so that communities can handle the potential influx of sea water during ARs." Probably a followup study done for a Masters thesis that will have Newsom dumping billions into new sea walls.
