I think most of my gay friends have a kayfabe gay voice. They turn it on when they need it. My brother(gay) talks exactly like my dad.
Aside: There is a Youtube video where my dad is speaking on the radio. I can listen to his voice even though he has been gone for 34 years.

Which is why the gay lobby has screeched and politicked since the 70s to prevent "gay conversion therapy" and any research on the root causes in individuals, such as identifying the number who were sexually abused in childhood, whether it was a family member, clergy, stranger grooming or rape, etc. It's criminal that research is not allowed, nor therapy even for those who do not want same-sex attraction. Chris Christie signed the first legislation banning "conversion therapy."
