‘Racist’ Trump Flew a Newly-Released Nelson Mandela to the United States
Breitbart ^ | 10/15/2024 | Joel B. Pollak

Former president Donald Trump flew a newly-freed Nelson Mandela from South Africa to the United States in 1990 when there were no other options, according to a recently resurfaced report from the Los Angeles Times.

The story reappeared on X (formerly Twitter) in the context of repeated claims by Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign, and by the left-leaning media, that Trump is a racist who should not be returned to office.

The story, “Trump Takes Mandela Under His Wing,” appeared in the Times on June 25, 1990:

One of the last details to be arranged in Nelson Mandela’s hastily orchestrated tour of the United States was lining up the aircraft that would take him to the eight cities on his itinerary.

After feverish and failed negotiations with everyone from the U.S. government to private charter operators, the unlikely benefactor has turned out to be none other than Donald Trump.

Mandela and the approximately 80 people traveling with him arrived here Sunday in a Trump Shuttle 727 and will take the same plane on the rest of the tour, which ends in Los Angeles and Oakland late this week. The Trump shuttle also carried Mandela from New York to Boston on Saturday.

They did get charged $130,000

But compare that to the price of private airfare for 80 people for a week of flying among over 8 cities

Did Mandela take the Trump Shuttle 727 from South Africa to the United States, or did the 727 fly him around the United States?

He definitely leaned left in his earlier years. He supported 0 in 2008 but after he won and started governing as POTUS was when Trump turned away from the left. All this is why it took me a while to warm up to him. Given what the GOP had given us in Bush McCain and Romney prior I was a bit wary of Donald Trump being the next. It took me until about the middle of the 2016 primaries for me to join and board the Trump train.

A friend of mine was on that flight that brought Mandela here. Ive seen the photos. He worked directly for Trump at Trump Airlines. Has nothing but the highest praise for Trump. In 2016 he told me to pay zero attention to how media would portray him.

If Trump had been a registered Democrat in 1990, I would have said it was to bring Mandela to his new plantation home in the southern U.S., but he was a registered Republican at that time. I guess he’s still a racist according to the RATS.

That was probably the cost of the jet fuel.

My epiphany with Trump was in 2015, not too long after he announced. From the start, he got in John McCain’s face over the immigration issue. That’s all I needed.

Kamala Harris’s campaign, and by the left-leaning media, that Trump is a racist who should not be returned to office.

Kamala Harris’s campaign needs to check all the black fingers saluting them.

I do believe it was put on by the late Bill Graham. Always liked putting down $100 for the job Jooz are guilty of doing-putting out a good product for their customers.

While I paid $100 for the concerts he sponsored the public paid $5 to hear Mandella speak. Young families appreciated it. Me? I preferred music. Wrong? How’s South Africa doing now?

How’s South Africa doing now?

Xi could answer it best he’s owning more of it by the day with belt and road deals.

“After suffering from a prolonged respiratory infection, Mandela died on 5 December 2013 at the age of 95, at around 20:50 local time at his home in Houghton, surrounded by his family.”

You’re thinking of a different person. Maybe Steve Biko, although he died in 1977.

Not true....

Mandela was around to sing Saddam Hussein’s praises in 2003... and as I recall, got some oil vouchers
