University of California (UC) San Diego has introduced a mandatory program for all new students, regardless of major: “Climate Change Education.”
The graduation requirement, officially named the Jane Teranes Climate Change Education Requirement (JTCCER) after a Scripps Institution of Oceanography professor who died in July 2022, was implemented this fall, the school announced in a press release.
The initiative was “designed to ensure that undergraduates across all majors on campus are equipped to understand and address climate change,” the university said.
Over 7,000 first-year students will need to complete a one-quarter course from a list approved by the UC San Diego Academic Senate in order to graduate.

More than 1,600 scientists, including two Nobel laureates, have signed a declaration saying that “There is no climate emergency.” The declaration is unlikely to get any attention from the mainstream media, unfortunately, but it is important for people to know about: the mass climate hysteria and the destruction of the US economy in the name of climate change need to stop.
“Climate science should be less political, while climate policies should be more scientific,” states the declaration signed by the 1,609 scientists, including Nobel laureates John F. Clauser from the US and Ivar Giaever from Norway/US.
“Climate policy relies on inadequate models Climate models have many shortcomings and are not remotely plausible as policy tools. They... ignore the fact that enriching the atmosphere with CO2 is beneficial... I wonder if the students will have to confirm belief in the political side of climate change. My guess is that that’s the whole point of making it required, which means it will just be indoctrination and no opposing viewpoints will be tolerated.
Many universities have made it their mission to turn their students into brainwashed idiots.

It is a one-quarter course. Piddly degree impact. Any STEM student should make it a point of pride to flunk it by coming in loaded with troublesome questions.
Just think of the conversation piece this will make at a job interview. One grade standing out from all the others. Why?

Given that the “climate” temperature(s) have wandered up and down *quite a lot* over hundreds of millions of years . . .
What exact specific numerical value (in deg. Farenheit) is the temperature supposed to be?
What is the exact specific numerical diameter (in meters), that “the Ozone Hole” must be?
What exact specific numerical limits (in meters) must the “sea level” of the ocean be?
What exact specific numerical rate of velocity in meters per minute, must the earth rotate at the top of Mount Chimborazo?
(Mount Chimborazo is the highest peak that is close to the equator.)
I could teach that course in one 15 minute session.
Due to the very slight irregularity in the earths orbit about the sun and the small wobble in its spin, the climate has been changing slowly, but constantly since God set it spinning. If every government on earth confiscated every penny beyond subsistence from every person and spent it all on climate, it would not affect the global temperature by 1° or the sea levels by an inch.
You cannot change the climate; you must adapt to it.
You will be able to have all the opposing viewpoints you want, as long as the answers on the written examinations are the ones we fed you during instruction time.
Oddly, the inherent problem with that methodology doesn’t concern a lot of current academia.

Student: I have to complete several of my courses in my major of Combating Toxic Masculinity to graduate. Can I be exempt from the climate class?
Admin.: No. Take a new semester for one class and pay for the full minimum tuition and fees for that.
And they should send their children to trade schools, preferably ones that aren’t woke.
