he Israel Air Force has not struck Beirut in the last four days, at the direction of the political echelon.
Kan 11 News reported on Monday evening that the instruction was delivered in writing on Friday morning, after the unusual strike in western Beirut, in which dozens of people were killed and injured.
The report also said that the ministers of the Security Cabinet were excluded from the decision to avoid attacks in Beirut. Cabinet sources said that the decision was not brought up for approval in recent discussions, and they heard about it for the first time in the media.
The sources stated that if the attacks in Beirut are not renewed, the ministers will demand answers from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the defense establishment at the upcoming Cabinet meeting.
Earlier on Monday, Netanyahu commented on the reports about the directive not to attack in Beirut and said: "We will continue to hit Hezbollah without mercy in all parts of Lebanon - also in Beirut."

Unfortunately, as PM, he knuckles to leftard POTUSes too frequently, but so does everybody else. We have to find an alternative, but I see none. Even Menahem Begin made major concessions under pressure from Jimmy Carter.
I bet dementia Joe has been threatening him.
Not taking that bet.
The pond needs a thorough and complete scum cleaning.
After all, Lebanon was supposed to be the Christian Levant Country.
Exactly. And their only non-Christian neighbors were supposed to be the Druze, whose religion requires them to be loyal to the country in which they are situated, and who have strong kinship ties to the Druze in Israel. Not Hezbollah, which is an occupying force.
OK. The whole Christian Lebanon and Jewish “Palestine” homeland thing was an outgrowth of the British and French Sykes/Picot accord of 100 years ago, and was phony posing by the British and French, but it’s taken on a life of its own, and is really the best option for Lebanon, and the only option for Israel.
Bibi will follow his mentor Arik into Gehinnom for surrendering land and allowing needless Jewish deaths. Once again, he’s proven to be an Israeli Mitt Romney.
If Netanyahoo listens to Biden ,he is a fool. Biden will sell him and his plans out .
I’m not a fan of his. He’s got a silver tongue and clay feet.
But he’s it right now, behind the eight ball, and his plan is a damned good one, if he’d only stick to it.
Rocket/missile defense is awesome, but it unfortunately requires constant reloading of expensive interceptors while shooting down the enemies’ barrage of cheap rockets. Eventually the Muslims will win the war by sheer numbers, unless Israel makes it painful in the Muslims homelands.
Indiscriminate bombing for the sake of bombing is cruel. Israel already telegraphed that they are going after Hezbollah leadership. The only citizens being killed are the ones that are hiding Hezbollah leadership or are collateral damage in the targeted bombing of Hezbollah.

Oh, I’d take that bet in a heartbeat — and I’d win, too. On a technicality.
Dementia Joe doesn’t do squat, except maybe move his lips in response to prompting.
It’s **Jake Sullivan and Tony Blinken** that have been threatening Bibi through Marionette Joe.
Where’s the outrage about their past and planned sneak attacks on CIVILIANS in Israel.
There are STILL hostages being held by terrorists which are being held by the terrorists own choice. NOBODY is stopping them from releasing the hostages.
Some nerve they have making demands on Israel.
Well, you see, it serves them right for living anywhere in Israel, which is ipso fatso a crime against humanity, since some Arabs might have gone through there once./s
Though, if the Sykes/Picot plan or indeed any French-British split didn’t go through, then most likely there would have been no Israel in 1948.
The Hashemites were going to set up their kingdom from the Hejaz through to Bagdad and the Aliyah Jews didn’t have the numbers or the materiel to oppose them.
The best option for Lebanon is exactly as you described it, but the demographics on the ground have changed, however I still think a better approach would be separate states for the Christians, the Druze, the Alawites etc.
Druze are good anywhere. They support whatever regime they’re under, good or bad.
The Hashemites lost the Hejaz to the Saudis. We didn’t have the numbers or the materiel in 1948 to oppose the multi-national invasion that occurred. The fact that we prevailed against those odds, with a one-sided arms embargo by the UN and internecine back-biting on top of it between the Irgun and Hagana, was nothing but miraculous.
“The best option for Lebanon is exactly as you described it, but the demographics on the ground have changed, however I still think a better approach would be separate states for the Christians, the Druze, the Alawites etc.”
The Assads in Syria are Alawites. I’d like to see a state for the Kurds. If anyone deserves their own state that doesn’t have one now, it’s the Kurds, and it would sock it to all the right people, taking a chunk out of Iran, Syria, Iraq and Turkey. The Ahwazi in Iran could ally themselves with the Lors nomads and offer safe haven to all the Palestinian refugees provided they behave and help fight off the Persians and Medians (naive, ain’t I), and take back their land and their oil fields after 100 years of exile and oppression starting with the first Pahlavi Shah.
“He’s the Neighborhood Bully!”
Ahwazi are kin to the Kuwaitis, who could be their sugar daddy to support their war of independence. Lots of Ahwazis live in Kuwait at present, since the regime is so hostile to ethnic Arabs, and they are a source of manpower, too.
Sing it, Bobby.
