My point is the Dems can win now that there isn’t an ongoing strike and shortages.

The Democrats are helped again.

One pundit said Kamala is too ineffective to combat three pronged problems, the strike, the Middle East expansion and inflation.

So one is now solved until after the election.
That is BAD.

“Geez....And I’ve already collected to bags of leaves...”

They know... that’s why they changed the date to January... there’s no leaves.

I do have a pretty good size fig tree out front and those leaves are perfect, I mean perfect.

They're agreeing to 61.5% over 6 years....down from 77% over 6 years.

Now the fight is over automation...and damn...that's just going to happen...no business is exempt.

Yeah, we need our offshored manufactured products unloaded in automated ports, moved by autonomous trucks and mile long trains with one crew member, delivered to Amazon and Walmart warehouses and left at your doorstep, or you buy it at a self checkout.
And as we kill every possible American job, we will worship the Hedge Fund class that laughs at us as we defend them with all our might.

I would imagine it will take a week or two to get back to normal, but probably not totally out of stock. The only panic bought the stuff for like a day or so and clean the store shells out, not warehouses. It may take a few days for the inventory thing in the warehouse to make it to the distribution system to get back to the stores.

This came just hours after DeSantis said he would use the National Guard to open ports to hurricane relief supplies and to provide security (unsaid was against union violence).

I’m sure the Harris campaign saw the writing on the wall and convinced them to put off the strike until days before Pres. Trump is sworn in.

Someone posted a picture from my local target and they had signs of limiting people to basically one package of toilet paper or paper towels Or like two individual rolls

It will nevertheless happens, just not right now.

So...$4/hr raise

$4.00 x 40 hours = $160/week x 52 weeks = $8,320 raise. That's pretty sweet.

And x 6 yrs.....holy cr**

Can that be right??

That’s still an absurd raise. They were already making pretty good money to begin with.

I don’t doubt the union, misappropriated funds, which is why they were begging/are begging for some massive increases in funding for pensions

“So toilet paper may still be out of stock for the next couple of weeks because of dipshit panic buyers?”

What were they thinking?
Toilet paper is made in the USA.

"This came just hours after DeSantis said..."

Exactly. This doesn't benefit the Dems at all. The backlog already created will last well past Election Day.

"The good news is this means they know Trump is going to win and they can’t stop him." - E. Pluribus Unum

Agreed. It's all about the down-ballot races now.

The ILA Union Head is a thug who thinks this is the 1950’s. The Feds had indicted him for RICO with someone else. The other person was found in a truck of a car dead, like in an old mob movie and the Union guy gets off. He’s thug who should be in jail. Hoffa never lived like this guy is living. The blowback on this was even to strong for the Union and Biden refused to get involved and use Taft-Hartley.

And where the Hell was Kamala for the people?????????

This whole thing was alike a repeat of On The Waterfront with Marlon Brando and Lee J. Cobb was the Union Guy.

Most everyone I talk to says, "Fire them all" There's a few million recent laborers more than willing to do six weeks of job training to unload cargo ships. Brought here by leftist liberal progressives, too.

No bodies in the trunk, either.
