President Biden said Thursday that the US is “discussing” the possibility of Israel bombing Iranian oil facilities as payback for a volley of nearly 200 rockets fired at the Jewish state on Tuesday — causing a spike in global crude prices.
Biden said the oil strike option was under consideration when asked directly by a reporter as he left the White House.
“We’re discussing that. I think that would be a little… anyway,” the retiring 81-year-old president said ...
Within 45 minutes of Biden’s remark, crude oil futures spiked to about $74 per barrel from its opening price of $70.10, before settling back to around $73.

However, Biden needs to recall (someone needs to refresh his failing memory)
that the Iranian dictators have repeatedly made it clear that USA is their first and foremost target for destruction, not Israel and not primarily- sunni Muslim Saudi Arabia or the gulf emirates. In their crazed brains, they make America their “Great Satan” .. Iran’s dictators have made it crystal clear on several occasions that they intend to destroy USA first. This is why they are working so hard building Intercontintental Ballistic Missiles. To carry their nuclear bombs to USA. They don’t need ICBM’s to bomb Arabia or Israel, both of which we’ve already witnessed them bombing with their existing shorter-ranger rocketry.

Not enough in the reserve to last more than two weeks anyway…the reserve is overrated. Used by politicians to imply they are “doing something” by releasing it or keeping it.
Production and refining capability is what makes the only difference.

At this point I’m pretty sure any money that could be used to refill the SPR is going to either Ukraine or Israel.
