AD?
This is where it's interesting.
What passing-bells for these who die as cattle?
— Only the monstrous anger of the guns.
Only the stuttering rifles’ rapid rattle
Can patter out their hasty orisons …

I can’t confirm this story. However, Israel warned Iran that it would not tolerate arms transfers to Lebanon. If this report is true, the Israelis identified arms headed to Lebanon & the Iranians thought the Russian-controlled Hmeimim base would offer protection. Apparently not.

I’m not ready to take this seriously. I see gaslighting arousing emotions shifting Ukraine to Iran I see that out there.
Putin apologists to accuse Israel of being a “globohomo neocon warmonger” in 5, 4, 3, ...
Still unconfirmed but this sums up the chatter

🚨🇸🇾 AIRSTRIKES REPORTEDLY TARGET RUSSIAN HMEIMIM AIRBASE IN SYRIA
Sources indicate that an airstrike targeted a warehouse inside the Russian-operated Hmeimim Airbase in Syria, alongside other military sites in Latakia Governorate.
The strikes occurred an hour after the arrival of an Iranian plane belonging to “Qashim Fars” airline.
The source of the bombing is not yet confirmed, but it reportedly involved 30 missiles fired from naval battleships between 3:55 and 4:41 AM.
Firefighters are currently attempting to extinguish fires caused by the strikes, though the airport’s stands and towers were not targeted.
Russian air patrols are now hovering over Latakia following the end of the bombardment.

Well said, by the guy safely hiding in a country that won’t seriously participate if war breaks out between Russia and the USA.
Isn’t Lakatia airbase where WW3 started in the book ‘Alas Babylon’? A US plane and pilot are chasing a Russian plane that was shadowing our naval ships and fires a missile at it. The missile loses lock on the Mig and instead dives into the port base and explodes setting off a huge chain reaction that destroys the Russian base. Russians, instead of protesting, go radio silent for a bit then launch a first strike nuclear response on the US and NATO.
Great book read on the run up and aftermath of nuclear combat.
Running up the missile supply chain. Can’t be fired at you if you blow them up in the warehouses.

“Isn’t Lakatia airbase where WW3 started in the book ‘Alas Babylon’?”
Yes. Great book. One of the best (and earliest) nuclear apocalypse books.

They used chemical weapons during WWI. So the Allies and the Axis came to an understanding not to use chemical weapons on each other.
So we could end up using NATO troops in Ukraine. We'll tell Putin that nukes are off-limits.

Not just that, but an intense, continuous fire. Rocket fuel?
Also, many rockets touched off.
Good shooting!
